Amongst the hustle and bustle of Chester City Centre, before the midday sun; two white horses stood silently as a family gathered to show their love and appreciation of a wonderful lady 🌻

Tomorrow (Friday 15th August 2025) we will be taking a local lady on her final journey. A beautiful horse drawn procession will lead this lady through the city that she has lived in for over 60 years. We attach the route that we will be taking between 9:00am and 10:00am. The journey will begin on Lache Lane as we travel to St. Werburgh’s R.C Church and then on to Chester Crematorium. As always, we thank you in advance for your patience and caution when driving by. Please share with those who will be travelling along this route tomorrow to make them aware of any potential delays. Thank you, The Hartys 🎩

When a child loses a loved one, it can be an extremely confusing time for them. We now have these books available for young children. They are written in a way that provides hope and encouragement whilst explaining what loss and grief can mean. If you know of a young one who could benefit from one of these then you are very welcome to call in anytime to collect one. These are completely free of charge, we just hope they can slightly ease the difficulty of explaining a loss to a little one.📚 ‘If you feel confused or just don’t understand, ask questions, seek help and let someone hold your hand’ 📚

Something we never expect but which truly touches our heart is when a family takes the time to share such kind words with us. To do so whilst they are grieving and feeling so much sadness really does move us and we are so grateful 💙

A historic Chester landmark. Shannon's late Grandfather, Raymond Harty worked here as a young boy. The Harty ladies stand proudly in the same place he did, 77 years later.

URGENT REQUEST - CAN YOU HELP?

Since re-opening on Monday we have already received 30 referrals for families struggling to provide warm winter clothing for their children.

We currently have many boxes that are completely empty - leaving us unable to help until donations come in.
