We are pleased to say that the Sankofa Songsters are thrilled to be opening StoryhouseLive Elders Week, today! 🎶⭐️

The intergenerational choir features our customers, children from The Nursery in Belong Ready Generations, as well as many members of the Chester community, under the guidance of the fabulous Amanda Wrigley of Live The Beat.

"I believe in – and have seen many times over – the truly transformative power that exercise can have for older people." 🏋️‍♀️👟

Barbara Tait has been appointed as Belong's lead exercise specialist, heading up our award-winning, in-house exercise provision responsible for remarkable outcomes for our customers.

We are one of the few care operators to have onsite gyms with dedicated exercise specialists, and Barbara was instrumental in the development of the service strategy when Belong launched over 15 years ago.

We were very pleased to welcome Cllr Sherin Akhtar The Lord Mayor of Chester to the village, this week. ⭐️📚

After joining in with storytelling session with Richard O'Neill and our young friends from The Nursery in Belong, the Mayor mingled with customers over tea in the Bistro.

Our wonderful receptionist Sally leaves us today after working at Belong Chester for over a year.

Sally is such a much-loved member of the team and has been inundated with gifts and well wishes from tenants, household customer family members, colleagues and visitors. Sally’s contribution to the team has been very much valued and we will all miss her smile and warm welcome.

'Yesterday afternoon we had the fabulous Ian from 'Music in Mind' joining us. We had lots laughter, singing and dancing and everyone can't wait until they return. This was the first time for Ian coming to Chester and he said we were a great audience!'

Is this the biggest boa constrictor Chester has ever seen? 🐍😱

Our customers were joined by little friends from The Nursery in Belong to welcome an array of animals to the village, thanks to the guidance of Up Close Exotics. 🦔🐢🦎

Everyone was thoroughly engaged and most were brave enough to have a go at touching and even holding the animals.

The children were especially thrilled when the giant boa constrictor came out and sat themselves in a line to demonstrate just how big it is - just another day at Belong Chester!
