We are delighted to announce our ACE Award winners for this month — Ben Swithenbank-Harris, who works within our Reception and Admin team, and Amy Jackson-Malone, a new member of our Village Nurse team.

We are pleased to have contributed to the APPG on Housing and Care for Older People inquiry, Creating Intergenerational Communities. 🏡🧸

Our village, with the integrated Ready Generations Nursery (operated by Ready Generations) serves as a case study in the report which explores the need for more accommodation tailored to an ageing population, and the desire for many people to live in mixed-age communities that bring generations together.

A lovely morning with George the pianist 🎹

We all enjoyed singing along and listening to as the beautiful melodies coming through the keyboard. It was such a special moment watching him play and feel the music.

This Wednesday we’re focusing on the importance of breathing exercises for our residents. Taking a few moments each day to practice slow, gentle breathing can make a big difference to overall wellbeing.

Today our residents took part in a short guided breathing session, helping everyone pause, relax, and reconnect with the present moment. Sometimes the simplest activities can have the most powerful impact on wellbeing.

Residents of Bridgegate recently enjoyed a lovely reminiscence session using the Boots Memory Box. 💙

The Memory Box is designed to spark memories and conversations through nostalgic items and pictures from years gone by, helping residents share stories and special moments together.

It was wonderful to see so many smiles and hear the memories being shared. ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at Waverton Village Hall for our Carers Morning earlier.

The Belong at Home Chester team was there to provide information about bespoke home care services, helping you or your loved ones stay independent and happy at home.

It was wonderful to welcome so many people from across the local community, including organisations such as the WI, and enjoy plenty of tea and biscuits.

📚✨ World Book Day at the Village Bistro ✨📚

What a magical World Book Day celebration we had with our Alice in Wonderland themed event! 🐇🎩♣️

Our amazing Village Bistro team put together a truly wonderful spread that everyone enjoyed.

We also had some fantastic entries in our Best Dressed Household Competition 👗🎭
🏆 Water Gate took first place with their brilliant efforts!
🥈 Eastgate came in second
🌟 And a special shout out to our lovely Clare, who won Best Dressed!

To top off the day, we were treated to an amazing magic show that left everyone smiling and full of wonder. 🪄✨
