Today we took an avid Chesterfield FC Academy supporter on her final journey for a lap around the stadium, with family and friends forming a guard of honour at the ground.

Today we had the privilege of conducting a funeral for a muched loved gentleman at York crematorium.
It was an honour to take you on your final journey back to your home town.

Mrs Thomasina (Ina) Gregory of Grassmoor has sadly passed away at home aged 59 years.

Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local Resident.

Thomasina worked as an enquiry officer at Derbyshire Constabulary Chesterfield Police Station.

She enjoyed reading, socialising and being with family.

Thomasina leaves her husband Richard and son Stephen.

The funeral service is due to take place on Monday 30th of March 2026 at St Paul’s Church, Hasland at 1.00pm followed by burial in Hasland Cemetery at 1.45pm.

Donations will be taken in the memory of Thomasina for Ashgate Hospice.

Last week we were honoured to conducted a funeral service in Our Lady & St Joseph's Catholic Church Matlock, which has been a historic place of worship for many years.

This special place was especially chosen by the family as a venue to celebrate the life of a much loved Gentleman.

Mr David Cook of Chesterfield has sadly passed away at home aged 72 years.

Born in Holmgate, Clay Cross and a local resident all his life.

David was a foundry worker at William Lee in Dronfield for 16 years until his retirement.

His hobbies and interests were horse racing, football, he also enjoyed watching most sports, singing on the karaoke and spending time with his family.

David leaves his wife Shirley, daughter Michelle, son Ryan and 1 grandchild Josh.

The funeral service is due to take place on Monday 30th March at Chesterfield Crematorium at 10.30am.

Donations in memory of David will be given to Ashgate Hospice.

Please join the family after the service for the wake at The Three Cottages, Winsick, Hasland, S41 OJJ.

The family would like to sincerely thank family and friends and all those that attended the service and for all your kind words and messages at this sad time.

Thank you to all the staff at Chesterfield Royal Hospital that had part in our father’s care.

Thank you to the care staff at Complete Care Chesterfield. Also thank you to S.A.U and Devonshire Ward at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

Special thank you to Matt McKenzie for delivering a personal service.

Our dad had a lovely send off, and we would like to thank Robert and all the team at Hoults for their support during this difficult time.

Mr Patrick Dalley of Stonebroom has sadly passed away at Royal Derby Hospital aged 69 years.

Born in Nottingham and a local resident for 17 years.

Patrick worked on the fish and meat counter at Clay Cross Tesco’s.

He enjoyed fishing, Nottingham Forest Fan, cricket, spending time with family, music and vinyl records, darts and a pint or three!

Patrick leaves his wife Colette, daughter Emma Dalley, son Craig Dalley, grandchildren Isabelle, Bethany ,Charlie & Evie
Jordan (Stepson), Stacey (Stepdaughter), Thomas (Step Grandson), Joseph (Step Grandson), Ant (Brother) and Rich (Brother).

Pat’s wishes were to have a direct cremation, as he did not want family upsetting.

Please hold him in your thoughts and memories.
