Our first Monthly Round-Up of 2026 ✨

We’re starting something new this year, a gentle monthly look back at the moments that make South Coast Home Care what it is.

🎂 Celebrations
We’ve been celebrating staff and client birthdays this month and hope everyone had a truly wonderful day.

🤍 Learning & Development
New team members Evie and Laura completed hands-on induction training, building confidence, understanding, and empathy from day one.

We also enjoyed a productive meeting with John from Fresh Eyes Associates and Julian from Julian Roberts Consultancy, sharing ideas around training and development.

🔐 Keeping things secure
We welcomed Identity Destruction to review and update our systems, supporting our ongoing commitment to confidentiality and best practice.

☕ Community & Connection
We also held our first social session of 2026 at Sage House, a reminder of how powerful simple connection can be. These free sessions continue every Wednesday, creating space for conversation, comfort, and belonging.

We know how demanding your days can be, and how important it is to find a quiet moment when you can. If you’re out on duty and need somewhere warm to pause, rest, or recharge, our doors are always open.

Whether it’s a hot drink, a cold refreshment, access to toilet facilities, a comfortable seat, or simply a calm space to take a breath, you’re welcome to drop into our local branches during your break. There’s no need to call ahead, just pop in when it suits you.

It’s a small gesture, but one that comes with genuine gratitude for everything you do to support and protect our communities.

Our first social session of 2026 at Sage House 💜

As we step into a new year, it’s a reminder that meaningful connection plays a vital role in well-being. When days feel quiet or routine feels repetitive, spending time with others can make a real difference.

That’s why our free social sessions exist.

They offer a welcoming place to connect, share stories, enjoy simple activities, and feel part of something supportive. Whether it’s meeting new people, enjoying a conversation over a cup of tea, or simply having somewhere warm and friendly to go, these sessions are about belonging, not obligation.

This week, we were delighted to spend time together at Sage House. Every Wednesday, we continue to create space for companionship, confidence, and comfort at locations across our community. From creative activities and gentle fitness to relaxed discussions and shared laughter, each session is thoughtfully designed to support mental wellbeing in a natural and inclusive way.

These moments matter. Because when the walls stay the same, it’s the people around us that help days feel brighter.
