In the world of care, connection is everything not just with our clients, but with each other too and our families. Sophie brought in baby Edward today to meet some of the team.

Today is a gentle reminder to check in, listen, and be present with our amazing team even when on maternity leave. The work we do can be emotionally demanding, and staying connected helps us stay strong, supported, and inspired.

Sophie had a great time meeting some of our fantastic new team members, taking the opportunity to introduce herself and get to know them a little better over a friendly chat.

A Little Life Update from our MD Sophie Reed 💜

“Just popping in briefly while on maternity leave to say a warm hello and share a little life update.

I’m currently soaking up the early days of motherhood and embracing this new chapter with all its joy, chaos, and the love of being in a baby bubble with my boys.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support from my amazing team and colleagues during this time and been so nice bumping into some of my care team in the supermarkets, parks and speaking to some of you on the phone.

Knowing things are in great hands makes stepping away so much easier, and I deeply appreciate the encouragement and understanding from everyone. 💜

While I’m not actively working or checking in much, as Edward is still only 6 weeks old I’m still cheering on all the inspiring things happening in my network and business from behind nappy’s and breast milk and while I am nap trapped!

Looking forward to reconnecting and returning with new perspectives when the time comes, however I will be planning a visit with Edward at the branches very soon and attending a network event with to touch base.

⭐️And of course the BIG plans for 2026 this planning started pre maternity leave and I can not wait to share all the exciting and expansion plans we have for South Coast Home Care - keep your eyes peeled! ⭐️

From learning the ropes (literally) to exploring the heart of Chichester fire station, we saw the dedication, skill, and teamwork that fuels every call.

Fire training for our employees isn’t just a box to tick it’s a life saving skill, every drill means we’re ready to protect ourselves, our coworkers, and our workplace and clients and also identify any risks!

Huge respect to our firefighters for their courage, discipline, and heart and all the additional guidance and training they offer us! 💪🏼🚒
