This week’s healthy swap is for 𝒪𝒶𝓉 ℳ𝒾𝓁𝓀 🥛

So I’m not a fan of oat milk by any stretch, but I know that some people love it or have to have it for dietary reasons 🌾

If you can see, this famous brand Oatly contains rapeseed oil and acidity regulators. which can lead to inflammation and disrupt gut health. Plenish is made with just organic oats, water, and a pinch of salt ✨

Oats are actually one of the only things I buy organic as it’s an affordable swap. Oats are heavily sprayed and, due to how they are processed, residual pesticides remain on the finished product 🥣

Oat milk for me is basically a cup of carbs in the morning, if you want a non dairy milk alternative, and are able to, opt for a protein based milk substitute such as almond milk.

💚 Make the small switches for better health and feel the difference! Remember, small swaps and improvements add up to seismic shifts over time 💜

Having suffered with Crohn’s Disease since my early teens, I know what it’s like to feel like you have lost control of your health, like you’ll never feel better and not knowing what to do for the best. It’s a lonely place to be. You can have the most supportive family and friends but unless they’ve battled this horrible disease, they will just never understand.

That’s why i have trained as a health coach. I am passionate about working with people like me. I look back and see how much i would have benefitted from the help and support of a health coach, at various points in my journey, and I want to people to have access to that support 💜

This year one of my resolutions is to work more with my cycle! 🩸

We have all been there, for some reason you’re not as strong at the gym or you can’t run as far or you’re just bloody tired and can’t be arsed to do anything when your to-do list is as long as your arm! As women, our cycle can have a huge effect on how we feel and how we perform. I want to make those feeling/ of guilt and failure a thing of the past 💪🏼

Hormones can have a huge effect on us from our mood, energy levels, strength, appetite and much more at different stages of our cycle. It is key to tune in to your body and listen to what it needs 🤗

Understand your needs and abilities will change with your cycle and work with the ebbs and flows in your hormones and watch the guilt disappear! ✨

Here is just a rough guide of what to expect in each phase; I find it really useful to think of them as seasons! Save this post and start to work with your body ✨

Whilst inflammation is an important feature of our incredible immune systems and integral for our natural healing process. Whether we pick up and infection or injury, the body’s inflammatory response acts to protect and heal us ✨

However, sometimes your body can send inflammatory cells even when there is no danger or injury and this can harm healthy parts of your body and cause a range of chronic illnesses. For example in Crohn’s Disease, inflammatory cells attack healthy bowel thinking of it as an intruder or invader. So with chronic inflammation the process that exists to protect your body actually end up damaging it.

Many of the risk factors associated with chronic inflammation and those diseases are lifestyle factors totally within our control.

This mainly online package is a way of dipping your toe into health coaching before committing to a full coaching programme. It’s also perfect for those of you that are stuck and not sure where you are going wrong with your eating plan 🍽️

It involves completing a health questionnaire, an energy & blood sugar quiz as well as a one week food, mood & symptom diary. I will then analyse the information you provide and complete a comprehensive personalised report with findings and suggestions 📝

This package also includes a 30 min coaching session to discuss the findings and recommendations and establish a plan to get started on your health journey ✨
