Yoga offers a family of poses known as hip openers to stretch tight hip muscles. One of my favourite is Pigeon Pose. It can definitely offer relief to hip muscles.

Pigeon pose targets the hip flexors, glutes, and piriformis muscles, it helps improve the range of motion in the hips. It may also strengthen the muscles that support the hips and lower back.

Emotional benefits: It is a primal reaction to store stress, trauma, fear and anxiety in the hips.

Left nostril breathing, or Chandra Bhedana, is a specific pranayama (breathing) technique in yoga. It involves inhaling through the left nostril while closing the right nostril, and then exhaling through the right nostril while closing the left nostril. This practice is believed to activate the Ida Nadi, which is associated with the moon, cooling energy, and the parasympathetic nervous system. Some benefits of left nostril breathing include:

🌸Calming the Mind - It helps reduce stress and anxiety by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, which promotes relaxation.
🌸Cooling Effect - It provides a cooling effect on the body, making it useful in reducing excess heat and balancing internal energies.
🌸Improved Digestion - It can aid in better digestion and metabolism.
🌸Enhanced Mental Clarity - Regular practice can improve focus, concentration, and mental clarity.
🌸Lowering Blood Pressure - It may help in reducing high blood pressure due to its calming and cooling effects.

Incorporating Chandra Bhedana into your daily routine can help in achieving a balanced and harmonious state of mind and body.

Right nostril breathing, also known as Surya Bhedana Pranayama in yoga, involves inhaling and exhaling through the right nostril.
This practice is to activate the body’s solar (heating) energy channel, or Pingala Nadi, which is associated with the sympathetic nervous system.
🌸Activating the solar energy channel can boost physical and mental energy levels.
🌸This breathing technique can stimulate the digestive system, improving metabolism.
🌸Right nostril breathing is thought to enhance cognitive function, improving concentration, focus, and mental clarity.
🌸As it is associated with heating energy, this practice can help raise body temperature.

Next time we ll discuss about left nostril breathing- Stay connected.

How yoga changed my life: 🌸
I used to be a different person. My days were filled with high expectations from everyone around me—family, friends, colleagues. Every little thing that didn’t go as planned would disturb and unsettle me, leaving me anxious and stressed. I was caught in a cycle of constant worry and disappointment.
Even though yoga was part of my life since i was 13 years old but never understood the deeper meaning of it and i completely stopped.
Every one of us have life changing experiences during Lockdown - Mine was same , Have started Yoga again during lockdown.

At first, I approached yoga simply as a form of physical exercise. But as I delved deeper into the practice, I realized it was much more than that. Yoga became a transformative journey, guiding me towards a deeper understanding of myself and the world around me.

Through the mindful practice of yoga, I learned to quiet my mind and tune into my inner self. The breathing exercises helped me control my anxiety, teaching me to focus on the present moment rather than worrying about the future or dwelling on the past. The physical postures, or asanas, strengthened not just my body but also my mind, instilling a sense of balance and stability and when you combine it with right nutrition 🥦🥬, you will have life changing experience.

One of the most profound lessons yoga taught me was the concept of letting go. Letting go of expectations, of the need for control, and of the constant quest for external validation. I began to understand that true peace and happiness come from within. Yoga helped me see that I had everything I needed inside me all along.

The purpose of this post is awareness- you are enough and everything is with in 🙏🏻 www.myfitnessconquest.com
