Celebrating my first Mother’s Day with our beautiful baby boy Finlay-Rae 💚

Becoming a mother has been a huge initiation and stirs up so much — including the grief of not having my own mum here. The need to be mothered yourself in these early postpartum weeks runs deep. But getting to celebrate this day holding my own little boy brought so much healing 💚

Finlay-Rae is a Gaelic name meaning gracious fair warrior, honouring my Irish roots and Louie’s Scottish ones — and he really did arrive in the world like a little warrior 🌍

Getting to spend the day our way, on a little wander around Mexico City with our tiny new sidekick, made it even better 💚

Always holding in my heart everyone who found Mother’s Day extra hard this year ❤️‍🩹

A few from my blessing way back in December 🌟 a day of being so deeply held by this circle of women 🥰🥹😍

So grateful for the love, care, and support as I step into this next chapter of birth and motherhood. And for those who couldn’t be there in person but still found ways to weave their magic into the day 💫

After this day, the move to Mexico felt even more tender. There were lots of tears, and I so bloody wish could teleport these women to visit me in Oaxaca.

I’m so grateful for friendships woven with so much intention and love — some for over 20 years, some much more recent and all equally special.

Being held like this reminds me that this rite of passage is meant to be witnessed and celebrated. My prayer is for all women on this journey to feel the care and intention of being supported in this way by their community, to feel less alone and isolated in such a huge period of change ❤️

Yes, we’ll work with pain, tension, or injury, and have a full assessment. I use techniques like myofacial release, trigger point therapy, stretching and soft tissue release.

But we also tune in to your nervous system. Helping you to feel soothed and deeply rested. Think rocking, breath, sound, and deep, grounded touch.

🌀 Deepening into stillness ❄️

I’m choosing to embrace winter this year, as a chance to reconnect with the often slowww rhythm of my body. A chance for rest and reflection - to feel, listen, and attune to what the body needs.

Winter’s quiet whispers offer space for us to slow our pace, be present in the small, subtle movements of breath and bodily sensation. It’s a chance to get to know the home of your body better, settle into it and get a bit more comfy hanging out there.

Through embodiment practices, we can learn to meet this stillness with awareness—transforming it into a grounding force that supports our well-being, resilience, and inner peace. 🌀
