Whether you are thinking about lifestyle changes, facing a challenge or simply want to increase your levels of relaxation, the therapies available at Breathe Serenity can help you achieve these.
I am a qualified Hypnotherapist, Reiki and TFT practitioner. My work is client centred, meaning I take time to listen to you, the reason for your visit and what your aims and goals are.
As a member of the National Council of Hypnotherapy I strive to work ethically, ensuring the welfare of my clients and practising without judgement, demonstrating both empathy and professionalism.
Hypnotherapy
What is it?
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that you may experience a number of times a day. For example:
Can you recall the last time you drifted away, daydreaming during an important meeting only to realise someone had just asked you a question?
Or;
Reaching a destination only to question whether or not you remember passing a certain sign or road junction?
That’s hypnosis and it is natural.
As with all treatments, an initial assessment will be conducted and I will explain what you can expect from the session including confidentiality, data protection (GDPR) and suggestibility exercises You can choose to ether lay on the treatment bed or remain seated in a chair. We will have discussed the reason for the session and consider any desired change or goal. The hypnotherapy can last from 15-35 minutes and I will use the time to speak to you and also allow for periods of silence and relaxation.
You remain in control at all times and any suggestions within the session can be accepted or rejected.
Reiki
What is it?
The dictionary definition is
“Reiki is a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy by means of touch or placing the hands within the aura, to activate the natural healing process and restore physical and emotional well-being. “
It is a non-invasive, gentle, alternative healing method that can support relaxation and promote wellbeing and should be used to compliment and never replace any prescribed treatment or medication.
For me, it provides a break from the constant busyness and noise of life. A moment to relax, be calm, to breathe and find serenity.
Reiki can be different for everyone, some may feel Reiki healing immediately during treatment like warmth, tingling and a sense of lightness or just immense relaxation. Thought Field Therapy (TFT)
What is TFT
Thought Field Therapy is a safe and effective tool that you can learn for yourself and use outside of sessions. It was developed by Dr Roger Callaghan and it can be effective in reducing anxiety, stress, phobias and cravings.
The premise behind this treatment is that the issue is caused by a disturbance in the energy field and by tapping into the field while focused on the issue, the disturbance can be removed from the body’s energy field.
