🌟Upcoming Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) Guidelines on remote prescribing 1 June 🌟

I'd like to clarify the situation on the new NMC regulations on remote prescribing of non-surgical cosmetic medicines in the aesthetic industry due to come into effect on 1 June 2025.💉

This will cover items such as anti wrinkle injections and aesthetics emergency kits. From 1 June prescribers will need to provide a face to face consultation to prescribe these items

This is something very near to my heart and this is the first time I have posted anything about this.... I have a really rare form of EDS, the Arthrochalasia (formerly 7a) type, there's roughly 51 of us diagnosed worldwide. It means I have a variant on my Col1a1 gene which means my collagen is absolutely rubbish meaning I dislocate multiple joints daily and I have a cross over into osteogenesis imperfecta meaning my bones are brittle and I have metal rods in a lot of them, my legs are metal ankle to hip. I've been to theater (the operating kind not the fun kind!) in the high 300's, had masses of lengthy and complex orthopaedic surgery, had sepsis, had significant haemorrhages, blood clots (lifer on Enoxaparin injections) and all sortas different not fun events. But I'm still here!

Every day I count the positives. Every day there *are* positives, even if it's just the waking up to a new day. Some days are tough, some days are bloody tough, every single second of every single day I have pain, but life is for living and I plan on living my life to the full!
