Today our residents enjoyed a visit from our hairdresser Jess 💇‍♀️ 💇‍♂️ they are all looking very smart.

Mary hasn’t had her hair done at the hairdressers for years, today she visited the hairdresser for a wash, cut and braid. We are so proud of Mary as this is a major achievement & Mary said she is looking forward to seeing Jess again in 2 weeks time! ❤️

This afternoon they enjoyed Chinese food tasting to celebrate Chinese new year, lots of residents tried new foods and enjoyed trying something new. 🇨🇳 🎆

⭐️ ACTIVITIES CO-ORDINATOR ROLE ⭐️
20 hours per week - 5 hour shifts x4 per week (1pm - 6pm) on a rota basis including weekends/bank holidays/ Christmas/ new year.

This is in a residential care home in Tetney - will require to commute

The role requires events organising such as entertainment, fayres, parties and fund raising for the residents fund. Also to facilitate resident meetings alongside the manager.

Computer skills required to communicate via email, draft posters/letters/newsletters and maintain an evidence file for CQC.

Experience is essential, excellent communication skills able to be person centred and to communicate with external parties

The residents and staff have had a wonderful Christmas party of 2024.
Harley J the singer got all of the residents up singing and dancing, a wonderful atmosphere 🎄

Last night our residents loved looking at the tractors and having a cup of tea, home made cup cakes and mince pies with the local farmers

Special thank you to Jackie one of our carers for arranging this and Jodie our kitchen assistant for staying to provide refreshments

We are extremely pleased to announce that
Santa and his sleigh with some illuminated tractors will be round the village on Wednesday 18th Dec from 6.30 to 7.00 pm. Starting church Lane, fountains,Market place,around by shop,north end,and out by crossroads.

We are honored for Santa Claus & his tractor companions to start his journey at The Fountains Care Centre and can’t wait to share this with our residents!

Yesterday our residents enjoyed a Christmas edition show from puppet power at Grimsby Baptist church.

Peggy said it really cheered her up, made her laugh and was very funny

Leo loved it too, showing us with his smiles and shed a few tears as he reminisced along to Christmas songs

Ron said it brought a smile to his face and thanked the Baptist church for taking their time to visit him in his bedroom while he’s unwell

And Michael said he was enjoying the show so much he had to tell his son to ring back later as he was watching the show!

Yesterday morning our residents enjoyed reminiscing the 50’s and 60’s and the time that has passed us by with Angie.

In the afternoon they went into the activity room with Ivy painting Pudsey pictures for our window decorations in aid of children in need while listening to music 🎶
