Our next Family Yoga is on Saturday 14th February, aka Saint Valentine's Day, so lets celebrate love! Come along with your kids and practise yoga together. Think partner and group poses, focusing on connection, and fostering the practise of "loving kindness" to others and the world around us.

Held in the room over the cafe at Waterloo Park, so you can visit the cafe and playground too!

10am = "Under 5s" - older children welcome but know it will be aimed at younger ones, more songs and simpler poses

11am = "4-11s" - again all ages welcome, it will be more imagination and partner work

£12 per family of one adult one child (over 1) and any extras please add as a sibling.
Spaces are limited so book yours now!

January can be cold, dark and quiet, but know that you are not alone. If you'd like to be in the company of other mums and babies, move your tired body and find some moments of calm, then here is a group for you.

Baby and Postnatal Yoga is a class for both mums and babies, from birth to walking (over two different age ranges). We include the chance to chat and connect, knowing you're not surviving through winter with a baby on your own. Massage and stretches for baby with songs, movement for mums to strengthen, stabilise and stretch out aches. Rest and relaxation to finish, very important to recharge.

I have spaces on Thursdays at Hellesdon Community centre
1pm birth to crawling
2.15pm mobile babies

£42.50 for 5 weeks or £9.50 drop in

Any questions please ask.

Hello I'm Amber, yoga teacher, birth educator, and mum of two wonderful children. As it's January, and I've some new followers recently, here's a bit about me, maybe some things you didn't know even if you've been here a while...

❄️ I'm a Capricorn, on the cusp of Aquarius, so I have traits of both! A "grounded visionary" according to AI 😀

❄️ I love dark chocolate, nut butter and herbal tea.

❄️ I used to be a primary school teacher. I taught in France for 4 weeks which is one of the hardest things I've done, particularly as I'm not fluent in French!

❄️Though my favourite film is "Amelie"

❄️ My son was born "en caul" ie in the amniotic sac (my waters didn't break).

❄️ Tracking my menstrual cycle has been a life saver in recent years. I find power and reassurance in this.

❄️ I practice yoga daily, though it doesn't look the same every day.

❄️ I have been vegetarian for 25 years.

❄️ I overthink and suffer anxiety, a "recovering perfectionist" we could say. Including overthinking what to put on this post. It's a work in progress!

❄️ I love the variety of what I do in my work and helping the world be a little bit better through my actions.

Thanks for being here, reading and supporting me, and I hope to see you at a class soon!

*NEW* for 2026 = Moon Circles
Held around the Full Moon and New Moon, as a way of marking the month, connecting with ourselves and the cosmos. These are online, on Zoom, in the comfort and cosiness of your own home. A welcoming grounding/meditation, then an option to share, leading into a relaxing Yoga Nidra. I have set the dates for January and February so far, all 8-9pm.

🌑Friday January 16th
🌕Friday January 30th
🌑Sunday February 15th

Feedback from my trial session at the January Full Moon; "Thanks so much for last night. It was lovely and relaxing - so much so I fell asleep."

These can be booked on my website, or you can join my WhatsApp group and book simply by responding there (message me for a link). You will notice it says "free" - as we begin these sessions I am asking for you to choose how much you pay, you will be send bank details on booking and pay what you feel is appropriate.

Any questions please ask!

Want to know what's in my Hypnobirthing and Birthing Toolkit goody bags? Well I'm not telling 🤫! I want to keep a surprise for couples that join me. There's nothing huge as I don't want to add to the cost of the course, but some little helpful items for your birth journey.

I have one space for The Birthing Toolkit in January on 15th and 22nd 6pm, and availability from February onwards for group or private courses. Just get in touch!

Save the date for Mother Roots events in 2026! I am looking forward to a new venue for my retreats so it can be even more restful and peaceful for you. In 2026 we will be at the beautiful Sunfyr Barns where there is plenty of parking, toilets, refreshments and lots of props to support our yoga practise.

🍃24th January - Mums retreat 10-1 (just 4 spaces left)
🍃14th March - Women’s Day retreat 10-4 (Early Bird Booking open until 25th January)
🍃25th April - Menstrual Health morning 10-1 (Early bird booking open)
🍃4th July - Mums retreat 10-1
🍃19th September - Pregnancy retreat 10-1
🍃14th November - Mums retreat 10-1

So get these in your diary and don't delay in booking those in the first half of the year, as spaces are limited to provide that special intimate experience. Later events to be released in coming months.

Just for women, without your baby/child, for some precious "me time".

Any questions please ask.

If you are pregnant and interested in yoga but unsure what to expect this is for you!

Firstly, everyone who is pregnant (over 14 weeks) is welcome, you do not have to have done any yoga before. Many people haven't. It is adaptable for different stages of 2nd and 3rd trimester, different bodies and needs. You are always encouraged to "listen to your body" and do as much or as little as you want to. There is no pressure.

⭐My classes generally start with checking in on our posture (so important for preventing and managing back ache)
⭐An invitation to share your name, weeks of pregnancy and pregnancy concerns/highlights that week (this might sound scary but it's a brilliant way of feeling connected and not alone)
⭐Time to "tune in" to your body and your baby
⭐Gentle warm ups to ease out tensions from the week
⭐Moving your body in ways to stretch out tensions and strengthen your body as it changes, to avoid or reduce aches and pains and to prepare your body for birth
⭐Breathwork to find calm and/or to use in labour, inspired by my Hypnobirthing training
⭐Relaxation to rest and restore, tailored beautifully to this time in your life!
⭐A nutritious snack and chance to chat with other mums to be

Classes have a weekly theme which may be related to the season, a physical or emotional need or something else that has arisen.

Sometimes we have a guest speaker in such as midwives and doulas. Recently and joined us and soon .norfolk.doula

You also get a recording of a class each week, sometimes an audio relaxation, and part of our WhatsApp community group if you wish.

Classes are taught by me, Amber, a mum of two and prenatal yoga and hypnobirthing teacher for 6 years. Any questions please ask!

(PS This is a canva image as I don't take many photos in classes)

Almost two weeks off teaching... two weeks of family, food, walks, playing outside in the snow, inside board games and films. Less social media, more yoga nidra, hot chocolates and mulled wine. A much needed reset into finding joy, in my children, in nature, in connection with people in my life.

January isn't a new start, but I am ready and pleased, to see you again. With a cosy hat and a warm smile I step out and back to classes on Monday ... See you then ! ❄️🌞

Feedback from clients is special, particularly when you receive it out of the blue. This student attended Pregnancy Yoga classes, in which I weave my Hypnobirthing experience and training. I'm so glad when it is helpful. Even when birth doesn't go the way you had planned, the mindset, movement and breath can be invaluable.
