PATIENT SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR

Part time 22.5 Hours

Monday: 13:00 – 18:30, Wednesday: 08:30 – 18:00, Friday: 08:30 – 18:00

Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness throughout the whole week is required.

Your role will be patient focused providing the best service face to face and over the phone having an empathetic and caring manner. You will also provide support to the doctors’, nurses, and management team in the practice therefore excellent communication skills are required. You will be learning and maintaining new procedures/work processes and inputting confidential data efficiently and precisely so you must be computer literate and be able to multi-task and prioritise your workload in a busy working environment. Having a positive team working ethic is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

* Opening and closing of the surgery.

* Give out repeat and acute prescriptions to patients’ or their representatives.

* Assist patients with face-to-face enquiries and follow up as necessary.

* Answer all incoming telephone calls, booking appointments as necessary and actioning any queries resulting from those calls.

* Ensure all emails are acknowledged and processed in the correct time frame.

* To ensure all tasks are dealt with and escalated if necessary.

* Process all scanning. (Paper and electronic)

* Support GP’s and The Practice Managers.

The Old School Surgery, Great Bedwyn is seeking a temporary Qualified Dispenser to join its busy rural dispensary team to cover long-term sickness. The practice serves approximately 3,500 patients and dispenses to over 85 percent of its population.

The postholder will work fixed days on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with the opportunity to discuss additional permanent hours on Fridays for the right candidate. This role is essential to maintaining safe, accurate, and patient-focused dispensing services within the practice.

Working pattern

Monday 9:00am to 6:30pm

Wednesday 8:30am to 6:00pm

Thursday 8:30am to 12:30pm

Additional permanent hours available:

Friday 9:00am to 6:30pm

Flu numbers increase

The increase in flu cases are rising dramatically, where many are having to go to hospital. This is putting horrendous pressure on the hospitals.

If you are a patient of Great Bedwyn Surgery, over 65 or medically eligible for a Flu vaccine and have not had one, please contact the Surgery on 01672 870388 to make your appointment.

Surgery Cleaner required.
Monday to Friday
2 hours per day AM or PM
Clean required for village GP surgery. Long term permanent position.
Cleaning to the National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness and CQC standard, previous experience preferred, must be able to use own initiative and be reliable.
Hours can be worked either morning or evening outside of surgery opening times to enable full access to all of the rooms.
Main duties to include hoovering, mopping, dusting and sanitising all parts of the surgery, clinical and treatment rooms and admin and staff areas.

The Old School Surgery is a rural GP surgery with approximately 3500 patients. We dispense medication to just over 85% of our patient population.

We have three GP Partners, a Salaried GP, two Practice Nurses, along with other healthcare professionals that work within our surgery including, health visitor, social prescriber and care co-ordinator.

We pride ourselves at the very high standard of primary care we deliver to our patients and work closely as an integrated team.

We are looking for a part time Dispenser to work within our busy dispensary team qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 2.

Excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential and to enjoy working as part of our friendly team.

The role will involve:

· Issue and dispense acute and repeat prescriptions.

· Order medication for stock.

· Unpack deliveries and check invoices, putting stock away and rotating the shelves.

· Fulfil weekly dosette boxes.

· Order, receive and dispense controlled drugs.

· Promote outstanding patient service and offer appropriate information and advice to patients and their carers.

· As a team take part in completing the annual DQSQ audit.
