Anders Zorn (born 1860) was a Swedish artist I greatly admire. His work has inspired me ever since I was a little girl. Anders reached amazing success during his lifetime and he built a very unique home not far from where I live. Not only was he an outstanding painter but also a pioneer in using new technology. His phone number was 4 which means the royal palace, the government and someone else had phones installed previous to him. Today it's a museum for anyone to visit and enjoy. I've seen it close to a dozen times and highly recommend it. What I love most about his art is the fast energy in his brush strokes and the way he portrayed women. As a young woman I wished I ever would come close to his talent. Today I've grown to enjoy being me and appreciate my way of painting. Inspiration and admiration lifts us all and drives us forward. Right?

Do y'all know about Banksy? What's your favourite piece of art? As I haven't created much this year and have zilch to post I'd instead like to share some of my favourites with you during this upcoming week. I love Banksy's art because his message is important, easy to interpret and belongs to everyone and no one. It makes you stop and think. ❤

Sketching again! Yes! Finally back in the saddle with the book I'm creating together with a very special person. This year has so far been challenging for so many of us. 2020 really kicked us up the mango! Personally I have been working almost double compared to usual at my day job in health care (and an extra job too) which left me with zero time for art... but it really is like having that final piece of the puzzle missing. I'm not complete without art. I'm a little unhappy and restless without art. I have a head full of ideas and had no possibility to make them a reality. Frustrating in a sense but there is a time and a place for everything. I'm so blessed in many ways and thankful for the smaller things in life. Sometimes taking 2 steps back on my personal desires for the greater good of other people's wellbeing is the healthiest thing I can do and fulfilling on another level. Luckily art also grow and develop on the inside even when your drawing hand is idle for a long time. Giant leaps can happen when you release! 🌹 I hope you all are safe out there and take care of yourselves and your loved ones. Make the most of this year even though it's hard. I love that you still are here with me. ❤
