I’ve been so quiet on here recently and have just realised I haven’t actually posted about the public vote being open for the 😮

I feel so incredibly lucky to be a finalist but if you’d like to help us to win then please please give us your vote 🙏🏻

Although things have been quiet on social media we have had a busy summer and this month we’ve got basic life support courses to deliver and some bespoke sessions for young carers in Lincolnshire ☺️

Triple 9 wouldn’t be what it is without you guys, your support has always been amazing and your enthusiasm and passion to save lives always blows me away. Thank you 🩵

Emergency first aid at work and Paediatric first aid course completed! Fantastic course ran by Triple 9 First Aid! Even as a registered nurse it’s important to update your skills in line with the environment you’re working in! It’s so vitally important to have registered professionals covering your First Aid at your events.
Tj has undertaken the course with us so he has the skills whilst assisting coaching our children’s wrestling class. Massive thank you to Jen for your time and patience.

FFW provide wrestling ring hire for events and each hire has a fully trained emergency first aid at work and Paediatric first aid crew member in attendance.

Proud to put the Professional in to Professional wrestling!!

International Paramedics Day 🚑

The theme this year is and it really got me thinking! 🤔

Of course, when we work frontline we make a difference every day: treating injuries, reducing pain, delivering babies, saving lives. 🚑

BUT, what about when we’re not frontline…what difference do we make then? 😳

Well, as a trainer and a lecturer I like to think I’m making a difference by equipping more people with life saving skills so those first differences can go a lot further to help a lot more people! I’m teaching new generations of first aiders, paramedics and ambulance technicians so they can go on to make their own difference’s 🥰

🤯 Wow! 🤯

Last week we found out that Triple 9 has been shortlisted to be a finalist! 🤩

Reading the email I couldn’t quite believe that my business, which I built entirely from scratch is being recognised as one of the top ‘professional service’ businesses in the East Midlands!! 😳

Voting will be out soon so I’ll be asking for your support nearer the time for that but I just wanted to let you know how grateful I am for this amazing opportunity which will hopefully allow me to empower and train even more people 💪🏼

Also, apologies things have been quiet here recently! Along with settling into my new part-time role as a lecturer, along with some difficult family news it’s been a juggle! But I’m still here, still training & still available to book 🥰

As always, thank you to YOU, for being here and supporting us 🤍

😲 That shouldn’t be in there 😲

That’s the most common reaction to a wound with something embedded, and we naturally want to remove anything that shouldn’t be in our bodies! 😵

But, did you know removing something embedded into a wound could cause more damage?! The object might be stemming the bleeding, or it might have gone through the skin at an angle and if you pull it out slightly differently a bigger injury could occur! 🩸

As first aiders, the only things we should be removing are splinters that are partially exposed 🫡

We should still always *check* for objects embedded in any wounds such as glass, weapons, metal etc to pass this information on to medical professionals 🏥

😁 Exciting times ahead! 😁

I am SUPER excited to announce that I’ve been offered a lecturer position at teaching paramedic science which I start at the end of the month! 🚑

So, things will look a little different around here! The triple 9 socials may be a bit quieter whilst I navigate & settle into my new role. I’m also taking a step back from my freelancing duties which means I won’t be teaching courses as often! 🤫

Triple 9 courses, baby first aid and open emergency first aid at work will all still run so please do get in touch for any training needs! 🤗

Thank you for all of your support, triple 9 has been my first teaching role & without it I wouldn’t have been able to secure a job teaching in higher education 🤍

So thank you, but not good night 😉

🤢 Are stomach bugs hitting? Or hangovers? Or that dodgy thing you ate last night? 🤢

Everyone knows that staying hydrated when you have a vomiting bug is super important, our body needs to be hydrated to get better! ❤️‍🩹

BUT, the mistake I see people making all the time is TOO MUCH water TOO FAST. People naturally tend to think oh I feel less nauseas so I’ll have a big drink to rehydrate, but swipe through to learn why this isn’t the best idea and what to do instead! 💦

Did you already know this? Or are you a fluid chugger? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏻
