Your Thoughts Are Creating Anxiety
Every time you have a negative thought or worry about something, you release chemicals like adrenaline or cortisol into your body.
With these chemicals in your body, they need to go somewhere, and the spike in adrenaline is telling your body to prepare to fight or run.
If you don’d do either, then they stay in your body, and present as symptoms of anxiety, like increased heart rate and breathing, sweating and all the other symptoms.
Then you worry about having these symptoms, and so release more chemicals into your body. This creates more symptoms and so the cycle continues.
Whilst you can’t think your way out of anxiety, you can actively choose to think different thoughts.
This may be tough at first, and many of my clients will say to me ‘oh but it’s hard’.
No one said the journey to healing was going to be easy. So change those thoughts one at a time. Replace the negative with a positive one at a time.
Soon, your brain will begin the process of rewiring, and this positive position will become your new default.
When you stop using the old thought processes, over time those neural pathways will become weaker, and eventually die.
