The clicking and the cracking. What does it do?
A gentle release between the joint surfaces allows for a change in pressure, causing air bubbles to pop. As a result studies show that there is a change to the neuromuscular system- relaxing the muscles and providing pain relief.

This type of treatment is not a permanent fix however, it opens a window to allow you to move better and therefore decrease pain.

When this treatment is used in conjunction with other modalities such as soft tissue and exercise it can lead to longer lasting effects.
