TSSS Thanks everyone that booked the fundraising Indian Night for the 21st November. It sold out in one day 🎉🎉

Last week we organised a ‘Wellbeing Morning’ for our lovely carers.
Therapist Debbie Lamb from Heart, Mind, Body and Soul took the first session discussing Psychological thoughts, connecting brain and behaviour.
The second part was a Sound Bath, where the lovely practitioner Tracey Wright, delivered a session whereby our carers took part in a meditative experience. The participants were immersed in soothing sound waves produced by instruments e.g: singing bowl’s, gongs, chimes and tuning forks.
The experience releases tension and promotes emotional balance.
A wonderful experience for all ❤️

Last year a wonderful local lady, Faye Cooper, wrote, and published, a book about volunteers in the community through the years. She has kindly specified that all the proceeds from the sales of these will be donated to two charities… St Helena’s Hospice and us, here at The Stroke Charity. We feel very touched by this gesture. 🥰

We might have mentioned it once or twice 🤭 but our incredible volunteer team has just won runner up Unsung Hero Award in the Suffolk and North Essex ‘Can Do’ Health and Care Awards 2025.

With that in mind we would encourage everyone to pop in and get one of Faye’s books so you can compare what happens now with what happened before.

We are worth the visit 😃 and I now have my holiday reading prepped already 📘📖🕶️🏖️

TSSS monthly Carers Group and members of the Parkinson Group from Holland on sea were treated to a wonderful afternoon at McGrigor Hall by The Frinton Rotary.

Such an enjoyable afternoon watching the Noel Coward farce, ‘Present Laughter ‘.

Excellent performances and lovely hospitality. A resounding success. Thank you, it means so much. ❤️

Fantastic opportunity to take part in our fundraising ‘Autumnal Floristry Evening’ with the very talented Maria on 17th September.
The event will take place between 6-8.30pm.
