A fresh haircut and blow dry can mean so much more than just a new hairstyle and looking good💇‍♀️💇It means feeling valued, pampered and connected. Today our wonderful hairdresser LAUREN brought magic in our Home. The smiles, confidence, little conversations and happiness that followed each appointment truly brightened everyone’s day. On Tuesday we celebrated Cinco de Mayo Mexican festival with a delicious homemade guacamole dip-making activity🥑🍅Residents enjoyed smashing and mixing fresh avocados with peeled and deseeded tomatoes; seasoning with salt and black pepper and finally squeezing some fresh lemon on top. We served it with crunchy tortilla chips🌮It was a tasty treat, loved by all! 😋

Loved by the staff and adorn by the residents, Sadj was notorious with his kindness, patience and dedication to residents. Last week we had a wonderful marbling activity, we wanted to share…. By squeezing just a few drops of 2-3 different paints into the water, the residents gently swirled the paints together with a stick, creating beautiful patterns. Then they placed a piece of paper on top and lifted it to reveal their own unique “wow” design! Everyone enjoyed the unexpected results which sparked opportunities for conversations as some residents shared what they could see- from space and waves to flowers and gardens… Just a simple activity, but such a lovely way to stimulate creativity, fine motor skills, imagination and meaningful chats🫟🖼️

We celebrated the Birthday of our dearest Debbie🌹Surrounded by love, laughter and the warmth of the family and staff, she enjoyed a beautiful day with a yummy cake, lovely cards and presents and the kindness of the relatives by her side. In celebration of Earth Day earlier, we spent time outdoors planting some bee friendly flowers but most of everything we enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful sunshine. Either at the front or in the back garden, we soaked some precious Vitamin D and enjoyed a favourite drink together with plenty of smiles and moments of calm, peaceful time. The spring has truly sprung!!!🌸🐝🌞☀️✨

We had a wonderful time celebrating St George’s Day yesterday! Residents were singing along, clapping, hand tapping in the rhythm and waving flags, enjoying every moment - it truly lifted the spirits up and made the day special. We prepared for celebrating St George’s day by making our very own English flags - a big one, which was a team work, and some, done individually.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿Using red scrunched tissue paper and cotton wool, our residents enjoyed crafting bright and textured St George’s Flags. It was lovely hands-on activity that supported fine motor skills while bringing a sense of pride and connection- especially with such a meaningfull symbol. Well done, guys!Flags looked fantastic😍
