What is Slow Flow & Yin?
Slow Flow & Yin is a combination of a Slowed down version of Vinyasa yoga and a floor based embodied Yin yoga practice.
Embodied Yin is a yoga practice that integrates Yin Yoga's long-held, gentle postures with principles of embodiment, traditional Chinese medicine, mindfulness, and experiential anatomy to cultivate a deep, felt sense of your body and mind. It goes beyond physical stretching to foster a deeper connection to your inner self, promoting healing and restoration by stimulating energy flow in the meridians, and bringing the body-mind into greater harmony and balance.
Each week we work with one the 5 elements in Chinese medicine, water, wood, fire, earth and metal. These elements relate to specific organs and meridian lines in the body. Bringing balance in body, mind and spirit.
