We are able to provide Qualified Engineers to carry out an on-site service for Repair and Maintenance, Vibration Analysis, Thermographic Surveys, Balancing just to name a few. Being just a couple of minutes away from the M1 Motorway and having our own fleet of transport with someone always at the end of the phone, we can operate a same day collection and/or delivery service. We are proud of the fact we also specialise in the repair and restoration of light rail motor and axel overhaul down to complete “bogies” refurbishment for some of the UK’s major Heritage Tramways, something many other Electro Mechanical Engineering Companies are unable to do. Our workshop includes:
A full machining service incorporating BROADBENT LATHE-20 foot long bed, 18 feet between centres, 4 foot swing over saddle – 5 foot chuck (Capacity list supplied on request)
A 10 tonne overhead crane (lifting capacity maximum 12 tonnes)
Dynamic balancing machine capable of balancing rotating components up to 3 tonnes
AC motor repairs & rewinds up to 3.3Kv
DC Motor and Traction Motor repairs & rewinds

Key Responsibilities:

Purchasing:
Source and order materials, tools, and equipment required for engineering projects.
Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and terms.
Maintain an inventory of stock, monitor levels, and reorder as necessary.
Process purchase orders and track delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt.
Administration:
Assist with general administrative tasks, including document management and data entry.
Coordinate project timelines and ensure that all procurement aligns with project deadlines.
Manage supplier relationships and ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time.
Skills & Qualifications:

Previous experience in procurement, administration, or a similar role (preferably within an engineering or construction environment).

Collection, Delivery Driver / Labourer Required

Job description

We currently have a requirement for a full time Collection, Delivery Driver Labourer. Most deliveries are within 50 miles of chesterfield using various Fiat Drop sides 3.5t and also a 7.5t drop side.

Reporting to the Supervisor/ Manager the main duties and responsibilities include the following:

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collection and delivery of parts from customer sites.

• Wrapping and packing for Delivery.
General tidying of workshops and other duties as required.

Essential Requirements

• Must hold a full UK driving licence with C1 for over 2 years.
CPC and Digital Tacho card also required, No more than 6 points on licence.

• Hard working and willing to learn

• Flexible working hours (to suit customer needs) - overtime when required

• Fork lift truck licence Required.

You will also be required to adhere to the companies Health and Safety policy and quality management system.
