👂 Using olive oil to soften ear wax

If you’re preparing for ear irrigation, a few drops of plain olive oil can help soften the wax and make removal easier.

⚠️ However, it’s important to avoid olive oil that contains bicarbonate (unless specifically advised by a health professional). Used incorrectly, it may cause irritation and soreness.

👉 For most people, olive oil should only be used for no longer than 3 days before treatment.

👂 How often should you have your ears irrigated?

We get asked this a lot — and the truth is, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer.

Some people may only need ear irrigation every couple of years… others might need it every few months.

A few things can make wax build up more quickly:
