☀️ Skin Cancer Awareness Matters ☀️
Skin cancer is one of the most common cancers—but the good news is that early detection can save lives. 💙 Taking a few minutes to check your skin regularly can make a huge difference.
The NHS recommends using the ABCDE guide to spot warning signs in moles or skin changes:
🔍 A – Asymmetry: One half doesn’t match the other
🔍 B – Border: Edges are irregular, blurred, or jagged
🔍 C – Colour: Uneven shades (brown, black, red, or white)
🔍 D – Diameter: Larger than 6mm (about the size of a pencil eraser)
🔍 E – Evolving: Changing in size, shape, or colour over time
⚠️ If you notice any of these signs, don’t ignore them—get checked by a healthcare professional.
🧴 Protect your skin:
✔️ Wear SPF daily (yes, even in the UK!)
✔️ Avoid peak sun hours (11am–3pm)
✔️ Cover up with hats and clothing
Your skin is with you for life—take care of it. 💛
