I am a Behaviour Consultant, Life Coach and Creative Therapist with a variety of skills, knowledge and experiences that allow me to create bespoke therapy for each unique individual that I support. My experience comes from but are not restricted to helping those with Developmental Trauma, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Sensory Processing Disorder, Divorce, S
eparation, Abandonment, Autism, ADHD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Fear and Grief. Throughout my twenty-year career, most recently including six years with a charity for the victims of Domestic Abuse, I have seen first-hand the impact that such trauma can have on the individuals involved. Working on a one-to-one basis with these individuals, I supported them as they came to terms with their experiences and empowered them to take back the control they felt they had lost. I have worked with children and young people who, following different forms of abuse and trauma, exhibited challenging behaviours; considered or inflicted self-harm; contemplated or attempted su***de; suffered from eating disorders; demonstrated uncontrolled anger; developed selective mutism. The techniques I employ to work through these traumas are not limited to talking, but include play therapy, art therapy, puppet work, sand and playdough work, reframing thoughts, emotional regulation, basic neuroscience, mindfulness, empowerment and coaching. My methods are non-judgemental, open, honest, patient, empathic and create a trusting relationship through active listening in a safe, confidential environment. I am qualified to work with individuals from infancy to adulthood and I understand that a secure attachment can be achieved when dangers are acknowledged and rectified. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals, parents, children and families including those with special needs and I hold qualifications in the Makaton signing style of communication.β
