What people see vs what it actually takes 🤭

What you see:
🌼welcoming movement spaces
🌼calm, supportive sessions

What you don’t see:
🌪️lesson planning on my tiny living room floor, props, printing, packing
and snacks, of course! 🍪

This work isn’t polished — it’s prepared with care. Even if it looks like chaos! And honestly, the chaos is part of the magic!

Our NEW move through this class launches on Tuesday this week and our first Survivor Steps programme of 2026 starts later this week! 🎉

We can’t wait to be back moving with you all!

I’m so excited (and honestly really proud) to introduce Tash and Saana 🌼

Tash has been dancing alongside me since March — supporting the sessions, the women, and the heart of Survivor Steps. Over time, it became clear that this work was already in her bones. So it feels incredibly right that she’s now taking the reins as Lead Artist for Survivor Steps, alongside co-leading Move Through This.

Saana joins us as Support Artist on Survivor Steps and co-lead for Move Through This, bringing such a calm, thoughtful presence into our spaces. She has a way of making things feel steadier, softer - having been my dance teacher for the past 8 years, I know first hand she will be an amazing addition to the team.

Both these appointments mean I can focus on driving the mission forward, developing new income streams for the CIC so this work can grow, last, and reach more women without burning anyone out.

——

We’ve worked closely with to train more trauma-informed instructors across Essex, and this is just the beginning of growing this work safely and with care. We can’t wait to introduce more of the team as Be More Dandelion grows into 2026 💛

If you’re curious about who we are, how we work, or what it’s like to step into a session — drop us a message or comment your questions below.

THANK YOU from Me to You this Christmas 🎄

Whether you’ve joined our programmes, supported or funded our mission, or have been cheerleading us to succeed.

Every like. Every share. Every comment. Every pound. Every penny. I see it. I appreciate it. More than you’ll ever know.

A year ago - BMD programmes didn’t even exist … and wow what a year it’s been. We can’t wait to dance and move with you all in 2026!

Until then, wishing each of you and your friends and family, a very Merry Christmas.

With love, Fi 🌼

Coercive control is a form of abuse that uses manipulation, isolation, and fear to dominate someone and can exist behind closed doors, even when everything looks “fine” on the outside.

If you or someone you know needs support, reach out. You are not alone. Call the domestic abuse helpline Essex Compass on 0330 333 7 444 (8.00am to 8.00pm weekdays, 8.00am to 1pm weekends) for help and support or visit essexcompass.org.uk

I wish more women knew about this life-saving law … before they ever fell for the wrong person.

Because honestly? Too many of us only find out after the damage is done.
And it shouldn’t be that way.

Clare’s Law — formally called the Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme — gives you the right to ask the police whether someone you’re dating has a history of violence or abuse.

No drama. No judgment. Just information that could change the entire path of your life.

And here’s the part nobody talks about:
Most women don’t even know it exists.
Or they think they need “proof.”
Or they’re scared to look in case it confirms what their gut already knows.

But knowledge isn’t danger — silence is.

On this carousel, I’m breaking down:
🌼 what Clare’s Law actually is
🌼 how to request a check
🌼 what you can expect
🌼 why every woman — single mums especially — should know their rights

You deserve safe relationships.
You deserve information.
You deserve to trust your own instincts again.

Save this. Share this. Send it to a friend who’s dating someone new.
You never know whose life it might change.

This isn’t just a dance class… this is a trauma-aware movement class (Thumbs up if you absolutely said it in the M&S voice)

And the new Move Through This class is the space you’re going to need come January.

After Christmas & the chaos, after the pressure of “new year, new you” kicks in and you realise you don’t want a bootcamp but you want a safe space to feel like yourself again

Move Through This is for women who hate the idea of a normal class: too loud, too fast, too shouty & too much pressure

It’s different because we focus on grounding first (because January is a lot), gentle, choice-led movement, choreography that builds slowly over 6 weeks and MOST IMPORTANTLY it’s a class that respects your nervous system, not fights it

No forcing or pretending, no sounds of “push harder” but a class revolving around movement that feels doable and human
