Happy Nurturing Day to all the amazing humans out there. Today we mark mothering Sunday in the UK. A day were some may feel reminded of how loved and appreciated they are. But a day too, where some may want to hide under the covers and sit out this day the world celebrates while the silent wounds of many weep from within.

So today I wanted to turn this around and wish you all a happy Nurturing Sunday. Because the real meaning of being a mum is to nurture and protect. Guide and love unconditionally. But most of all be human. So for all of you out there who feel unseen. 💜Who have lost a child here on earth or in the stars. 💛To those that have been let down by what we wished a mum would mean. 💜To those that have broken relationships as a mum because they too struggle as a human 💛To those that this day reminds them of the gaping hole in their life. 💜To those whose life path has chosen their destiny of not being a bilogical mum. 💛To those that have bought their own mother’s gift for themselves. 💜 To those soothing the wounds of a mother’s love taken too soon 💛And for those hiding under the covers wishing this day would just pass. 🌅I see you. I send you everything you may need right now.

But I welcome you to turn this day into a day where you see yourself. Wounds and all. Nurture yourself today. Start to dream again from that place of love, healing and hope again.

Life can be so cruel. But equally it can be so beautiful, if only we seek to see the beauty even in the pile of ruins.

Sending you all love and a massive high five for just getting through today.

And if you are a mum without wounds ( do they even exist 🤔) soak it all up because you deserve it too.

Lots of love
Sally x

We had 43 silent 999 calls in November where we were needed at the scene immediately – that’s more than one every single day 😞 📱

Most of these calls were from people suffering domestic abuse, who couldn't say much but urgently needed our help to escape a desperate situation or confide in officers what had happened to them 🏠 🚓

Did you know? Dialling 55 after calling 999 alerts police operators that you need help but are in a situation where you can't talk.

Pressing 55 lets the 999 operator know your call is genuine, and they will try to track your location. If you can't speak, listen carefully to the questions and instructions from our demand hub call agents so they can assess your call and arrange help.

“What’s the difference between your neurodevelopmental assessments and those offered from other providers?” -This is a question we are often asked when people enquire about our service. Let us tell you a little more about SENsational Minds

⭐️Who we are ⭐️
We are a small team of highly trained clinical professionals who have extensive knowledge and understanding of Autism and ADHD. We stem from a variety of professions including clinical psychology, mental health nurse specialist, psychotherapy, Speech and Language therapist, Specialist teaching and SENCO. We have all worked in clinical assessment for many many years and have supported so many children, young people and adults on their journey. Our diversity as a multi-disciplinary team gives us an extended lens of the persons presentation meaning that we are able to offer personalised advice support and intervention following diagnostic processes with us.

⭐️What do receive with an independent assessment?⭐️

⭐️Care. From the moment you enquire with us, you are greeted with a friendly and supportive response. You will be guided through your process with our care coordinator who is on hand to answer any questions or concerns.

⭐️We prepare those who may be anxious to attend with visuals, social stories and even welcome virtual calls so that young people are aware of the person they may be meeting in the assessment.

⭐️We complete our face to face assessments in a wonderful setting in called The Chill Out Centre in Colchester, Essex which is neutral in tones and a very calming space. Small, quiet and perfectly placed! We aim for everyone to feel comfortable in this space with time dedicated to ensuring that we capture all the information needed within the sessions.

⭐️We offer elements to our assessments virtually too! This is a great way to work when completing the clinical interviews as it can mean that more than one parent/carer or family member can attend the appointment- allowing for more information to be shared in assessment.

⭐️We will send a member of the team to your child’s education setting to complete an in-person observation to complement the assessment process for ADHD (children) assessments. This covers all Essex schools/colleges. We observe a structured lesson and an unstructured session to ensure that we capture all the evidence we need.

⭐️Gold standard assessment tools delivered by outstanding practitioners. We don’t do anything by halves and strive for excellence in every single assessment.

⭐️A 4-6 week wait list for your first appointment 📅. Once the final session has been concluded and the team have met for their MDT discussion, we are able to feedback to parents/carers and the person who has undertaken assessment with us.

⭐️We can also feedback to schools/education settings if you feel that you would like us to do this on your behalf.

Please do reach out if you would like to learn more or if you have any questions, we are happy to support you. We hope to connect with you soon.
