Something that stood out for me at the Future Fertility Show was the crowds that were attracted to talks about 'unexplained infertility' 😲

This can only mean that people have been given no answers as to why they are having difficulties conceiving. Simply being told to just keep trying, it will happen when it happens.... blah blah blah 🙄

Isn't the definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? 🤔

We have an array of fertility nutritionists, coaches and reflexology practitioners on the Island of Ireland who are knowledgeable in this area to support those experiencing difficulties on their path to parenthood.

Don't just wait around for the IVF bus to come along, get out there and find people who can support you to conceive naturally and should there be a need after all for IVF, you can be sure that your eggs/s***m will be in the best shape of their lives to enhance your chances of pregnancy!!

What is 'charting'? And why do I ask my female fertility clients to chart? 📉

Charting is a key part of the jigsaw puzzle in gathering information about the cycle which in turn will identify clues that may be missed. 🧐

It involves taking the Basal Body Temperature (BBT) after at least 3 hours of solid sleep as soon as you waken. Ideally at the same time each day.

Charting helps identify the following:

🌡 The number of days for your follicular phase and your
luteal phase
🌡 Helps to identify ovulation
🌡 Can give us information about your progesterone levels
and how well sustained they are during your luteal
phase
🌡 The presence and quality of cervical mucus

Oestrogen is the dominant hormone in the first half of the cycle, during this time your temperatures will be around 36.11 to 36.38.
After ovulation occurs, progesterone is released which causes an increase in the Basal Body Temperature and it remains elevated until your next period.
