You’ve already survived your worst days. Whatever tried to break you, didn’t.

You’re still standing, still swinging, still in the fight.

Good morning 👋🏻

At RCW Veterans, we understand that some days feel like an uphill climb. That’s when soldier tactics remind us how to keep moving, one steady step at a time:

• Discipline – gentle routines give us structure when life feels uncertain.

• Focus – keeping sight of what matters most helps us through the noise.

• Adaptability – when things change, we adjust our pace and carry on.

• Teamwork – no one has to walk the path alone; we are stronger side by side.

• Resilience – it’s okay to stumble, what matters is finding the strength to rise again.

Perseverance isn’t about being unbreakable – it’s about carrying courage in your heart and leaning on others when you need to. Step by step, you’re moving forward.

🌿 Keep going, you’re doing better than you think.

☕️ Anyone for tea?
Huge thanks to Trudie from RS Components who popped by with what can only be described as a year’s supply of teabags!

We’re fully fuelled for brews now – milk and biscuits still welcome donations though 😉

🌿 A Big Thank You to Store Manager Amy Kennet at Wickes Corby

We’re incredibly grateful to Wickes Corby for their kind donation of a Bosch lawnmower to our RCW Veterans Serenity Garden Project.

Your generosity helps us maintain a peaceful, welcoming space where veterans and our wider community can come together to heal, connect, and grow. 🪴💚

Thank you for supporting our mission and making a real difference in the lives of others!

Greenock veteran William McPike shared his incredible story of 40 years in the Army. 👏

From surviving 55°C heat in Iraq with boots melting on the sand, to facing hidden dangers in Northern Ireland, and enduring –42°C in the Arctic Circle, Major William McPike has lived a life of remarkable service.

He signed up at just 17, served with the Royal Artillery and Royal Logistics Corps, helped deliver supplies to Iraqi villages, guarded POWs, and stood watch on the Russian border in Norway.

After four decades in uniform, William still gives back, supporting fellow ex-servicemen and women every day. ❤️
