🥰CUTE ALERT!!! This is the 4th Year that Wilf & Wilma (Wild Ducks) have returned to The Shire to hopefully hatch their Ducklings!!🦆🐥For the last 4 years every February they fly in and stay for 5 months! Yesterday was the day they returned home - it's always around this time but everyone is always dubious if they will return!!🥰 So Happy to see them both safe and well. They get fed every morning and evening at The Shire and usually have their Ducklings around April so watch this space for an update!!🥰❤️🦆🐥

🥰Check out these awesome pics of everyone in January and the past few days getting stuck in on group and individual projects and just enjoying time at The Shire amongst friends🥰!! Recently we have all been working hard renovating the converted animal Barns which has now created ample space for each animal new and old with a seating area for us all to enjoy!! We have enjoyed coffee mornings off-site, along with learning to use new tools, Baking, Arts & Crafts, Music sessions, Quizzes, Karaoke, Polaris Driving and not forgetting plenty of animal interactions! Remember The Shire has many upcoming events open to everyone so watch this space!😊

Come along and meet some of The Shire Animals and join in with Arts and Crafts, Games, Lego, Face Painting and Tombola/Raffle. Enjoy some Hot & Cold refreshments whilst having cuddles with our lovely animals which is included on entry fee - donations welcome!! All proceeds go towards The Shire's adult day service! 🎄🌞⛄What an amazing day at Westbay for us all today!! It was so lovely being in the warm Sunshine with friends having fun together!!🥰 We had a great Bowling Trip yesterday to celebrate Paul's Birthday which was brilliant fun!!🥳 Along with the usual ongoing projects we have enjoyed trips off site doing festive activities along with seeing Christmas decorations, Dancing/Karaoke and Winter Walks. Thank you to everyone who has recently supported The Shire by purchasing a Christmas Tree made by the individuals at The Shire, it is much appreciated and will go towards purchasing tools and machinery for next year!🥰 We had a stall in Tesco last Friday which was a massive success selling not only Xmas Trees but other items made which will again go towards the much needed tools!! Christmas really has arrived at The Shire with lots of Christmas projects, Arts & Crafts, Baking and not forgetting the fun daily advent calendar with gifts for everyone!! 🎄BARGAIN PRICED XMAS TREES!! Everyone has been working really hard to build these amazing Xmas Trees over the last couple of weeks to help raise funds for The Shire! All proceeds will go towards further Tools and Equipment which will be much needed for the New Year ahead!! 🥰❄️ Anyone ever seen clouds like this before? I took pics of these Rainbow Clouds today at The Shire!! These have not been adjusted in anyway...it was truly magical to witness!! 🥰🍁🍂October summed up at The Shire!!🍂🍁
The Shire had it's first residential Trip away with a small group of individuals to The Calvert Trust in Devon! This was a very active few days break away but was a huge success and so much fun!! More residential trips will definitely be happening in the New Year!! We all enjoyed our fundraising morning in Tesco's to raise funds for The Shire, especially seeing Trev dressed as a dinosaur! Amazing Halloween Games & Tea Party well done to all of you for taking part and for the amazing costumes!! Lots of Baking, Arts & Crafts, Quiz/Challenges, Music Sessions and enjoying the new Fundraised Pathway that's been installed especially accessing parts we usually couldn't in autumn! Not forgetting the many projects both individually and as a group!! Thank you for a fab October everyone!!🥰❤️
