Good morning, we have a few flu vaccines left for anyone that would like one. Unfortunately we cannot do private so need to be eligible, over 65, immunosuppressed etc. If you would like a vaccine please call the pharmacy on 01259 712000 so we can ensure we keep one aside for you (we will keep for 48 hours).

We also still have a few days left for people wanting to participate in the raffle to win a bottle of baileys, all to help raise money for Alzheimer’s and dementia 😁

Today may be elf day, however the fundraising will continue…. We will draw the first raffle for this luxury Christmas hamper to be delivered to your home week commencing 15th December. Then we will draw the final raffle for the large bottle of Baileys on 22nd December. Tickets are available from our counter, just ask a member of our team, £2 a go. Happy elf day to all of our wonderful patients and customers 😁. Feel free to come along today and see our whole team dressed as elves for your amusement 😂. Please could we kindly ask that any patients wanting to sign up for the collection box outside, complete the form which you can collect from the counter, clearly and with all information included - especially exemptions. If the exemption is incorrect or not in date the machine will ask for payment when you go to collect your prescription.

If anyone is asked to pay when they have an exemption, please pop into the pharmacy or call so we can resolve this with you 😁

We’ve got another raffle going to raise money for Alzheimer’s dementia. Just pop in and ask a member of our team if you would like to buy a ticket. They are £2 each go and will be drawn the week before Christmas, unfortunately as this is for charity it must be cash only. I will start a just giving page asap so you can buy tickets through there, just show that you have donated to get your ticket 😁

This morning I have started inputting patients that have signed up to collect prescriptions from the collect box at the front of the pharmacy. Please expect a text with a code once we receive your prescription and place it into the box. Once you receive the code you have 3 days to collect your medication 🎉

Please could I kindly ask that any patients wanting to use this service, just pop into the pharmacy and ask for a form to complete then hand back to us. Please ensure all writing is clear and telephone number also clear and correct as this is the number that will receive the code. Unfortunately this morning I have had difficulty with a couple of forms, one form didn’t actually have a phone number at all. This makes the process not only take longer but also could result in an incorrect number being added to patients records.

Also please keep an eye out for Elf day on 3rd December this year, where our team all dress as elves for your amusement and to raise money for Alzheimer’s and dementia. We have done this for the last 6 years and have raised a considerable amount of money for this great cause. We will have some raffles running to win prizes and there is a donation pot on the counter for anyone wanting to either take part or donate. More details to follow 🧝‍♀️

Good morning please could we remind patients that when returning any old/unused medication that there are NO needles. Unfortunately a member of our team sustained a needle stick injury yesterday and will now need to have blood tests and any necessary vaccinations eg tetatus and hepatitis ☹️

Good afternoon all we hope you are enjoying this lovely weather ☀️
Following a recent query regarding NHS app, we would like to clarify the following :
When ordering a repeat prescription, you may receive a message stating that the prescription is ready. However this means it has been processed by the surgery, therefore it has been sent to your pharmacy but this does not allow the time needed for the prescription to be dispensed, checked and bagged.

Please could we kindly remind people that the pharmacy needs a minimum of 2 working days before the prescription would be ready for collection 🙏. If however the prescription is needed earlier than this please give our team a call so we can ensure that it is ready for you when you come to collect?
