Painful back? Try these stretches to reduce tension in muscles supporting the spine; tension in the back of your legs and bottom muscles can worsen pain from any number of back pain conditions.
1. Hold stretches for around 15 to 30 seconds to adequately lengthen muscles and improve range of motion.
2. Repeat a stretch between 2 and 5 times—a muscle usually reaches maximum elongation after about 4 repetitions
3. Stretch one side of the body at a time
Remember to stretch everyday and that it may takes weeks for your pain to ease.
Be positive, mindful and consistent.
