We have a wonderful position here at Valley Court Care Home working on an evening as a kitchen assistant.

The Role

The roll of a kitchen assistant would be to maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen from 3 - 7pm and follow all paperwork and sign off jobs that are tasked to you

Cooking on a basic scale

As a evening assistant you would be providing residents with a cooked option that is allocated on that specific day such as (chicken nuggets, poached eggs, fish fingers, cheese on toast). Along with preparing a fresh salad in a bowl for two units (nursing and residential)

Sandwiches, cakes, soup and soft diets will all be prepared by the day chef. These will just needed to be allocated to the careers on your shift.

Also you will be asked to prepare extra items if care staff request and we pride ourselves here at valley court on our range and availability of food items.

Basic food hygiene certificate desired but can take this on site
