Action shots from my owners demonstration this week! 2 brilliant sessions for the riding camp participants at South of England showground.

Should I run another one of these? Would you like to include a demonstration of how you can help to maintain your horses performance between professional treatments?

Any questions?

Why horses? Why Equine Massage?

People often ask, why did I choose this? What makes horses so special to me?

Horses helped me through the most traumatic events of my life..

I was 18 when I was diagnosed with transverse myelitis (TM) and left hospital wheelchair bound, unable to feel or use my left arm or leg. My life as I knew it was over, when it was only just about to begin!
Through all the stresses and heartache of having to learn to walk, hold cutlery, tie shoelaces, put my hair up, not drop things, or spill my drink that was in my left hand.. horses were the only place that felt safe and like home 🙌

I'd ridden all my life, and between my A-levels spent all my time at the yard! So there I was just able to walk unaided and mounting a 13hh pony with a 3ft mounting block 😳 to add insult to injury, I'd backed her only a couple of years prior to this moment!!

Horses helped with my recovery and proprioception, and in turn my physical therapy and mental health. So when it was suggested to me that I could train to be able to give back to them; I did just that, and it has turned out to be the best decision I've made.

Over 10 years on, and I'm 95% back to the able bodied person I was before my TM. Horses can take a large amount of credit for this, along with regular chiropractic and massage therapy appointments. 🙌

Horses are amazing creatures and deserve all the love and care they give us unconditionally in return! 🐎✨️

Had the pleasure of treating this handsome chap this evening during his recovery from chronic laminitis. Helping him supple through his back as he regains his mobility 💪🐎

A model patient, he stood completely still for the whole hour!

Horses know I'm there to help them 🙌 I even got cuddles in thanks 🐎✨️
