Day 5 - Just finished an exam?

Be honest, are you already going over everything you should’ve said?

That one question
That one answer
That one mistake

It’s so easy to get stuck there.

But here’s the thing:
You can’t change what’s already been done.

What you can do is look after yourself for what’s next.

Going over it again and again won’t help your next exam, it just drains your energy.

So try to reset:
get outside
listen to music
talk about something completely different

You’re allowed to switch off.

One exam doesn’t define everything and you don’t need to carry it into the next one 🩶

Day 4 ✨

Got your first exam coming up?

It’s normal if your mind is already going into “what if” mode.

What if I forget everything?
What if I panic?
What if I’m not ready?

That doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.

It means you care.

Nerves before an exam are completely normal, even people who do well feel them.

You don’t need to feel calm to do well.

You just need to take it one question at a time.

Focus on what’s in front of you, not everything that might happen.

You’ve handled stressful situations before — you can do this too 💚

Day 3 on Exam Support ✨

Can’t focus on revision right now?

Before you call yourself “lazy’ read this...

A lot of the time, it’s not laziness.

It’s:feeling overwhelmed, being mentally drained and putting too much pressure on yourself.

When your brain feels full, it can’t focus properly.

So instead of forcing hours of revision, try this:
25 minutes focus
5–10 minute break
repeat

Start small.

Even one focused session is better than sitting there for hours getting nowhere.

You’re not behind, your brain just needs a bit of support.

Take the pressure down, not your effort 💛

Day 2 ✨

Your GCSE results don’t define you.

I know it might feel like they do right now, like everything is riding on these exams.

But they’re not a measure of who you are.

They don’t show:

how kind you are
how creative you are
how hard you try
how you treat other people

And they definitely don’t decide your whole future.

There isn’t just one path in life, even if it feels like it.

So if you’re putting a lot of pressure on yourself right now, this is your reminder:

You are still enough, with or without the grades you’re hoping for.

Don’t lose yourself in the process 💛

Day 1 - You’re not the only one feeling like this.

If GCSEs feel like a lot right now, this is for you.

That constant pressure.
The overthinking.
The feeling like you should be doing more.

It’s exhausting.

And even if it looks like everyone else has it together, a lot of them don’t.

They’re just not saying it.

You’re not behind.
You’re not failing.
You’re dealing with something that is hard.

Give yourself a bit of credit for showing up, even on the days it feels heavy.

You don’t have to go through it pretending you’re fine 🧡

Save & Share to anyone you know who is doing their GCSE’s, A levels or any other exams.

Come back tomorrow for more support.

Day 7 / Final Day of Emotional Literacy

Supporting your child’s emotional wellbeing doesn’t have to be complicated.

Start with the basics:

✔ Notice their feelings
✔ Name them
✔ Stay calm and present

You don’t need to get it perfect every time.

What matters most is that your child feels safe, seen, and supported 🤍

Day 6 Emotional Literacy.

In my work as a child and adolescent mental health coach I see this often…

Children aren’t lacking behaviour skills they’re lacking support to understand their emotions.

When we focus only on behaviour, we miss what’s really going on underneath

But when we build emotional literacy, everything starts to shift.

Because understanding feelings is a skill for life 🤍

Emotional Literacy Day 5 🤍

Simple tools can make a big difference.

One I often share is the “feelings scale.”

It gives children a way to check in with themselves especially when they don’t have the words yet.

You might say, “On a scale of 1 to 5, how are you feeling right now?”

Over time, this builds awareness, language, and confidence.

Small steps really do add up 🌱

Day 4 of Emotional Literacy 🤍

It’s hard in the moment…

When your child is shouting, refusing, or melting down it can feel like they’re just being difficult.

But often, they’re not giving you a hard time they’re having a hard time.

Big behaviour is usually a sign of big feelings.

When we shift how we see it, we change how we respond.

Day 3 of Emotional Literacy 🤍

A common worry I hear is, “If I talk about feelings, will it make things worse?”

The reality is the opposite. When children can understand their emotions, they feel less overwhelmed by them.

Avoiding feelings doesn’t make them disappear. It just leaves children to figure them out alone.

And that’s when they can feel confusing or too big.

Day 2 of Emotional Literacy ✨

It’s so easy to say things like “Calm down” or “Stop shouting”.

Most of us heard it growing up too.

But these phrases don’t teach children what they’re feeling or what to do with it.

When you name the emotion instead, something shifts.

“I can hear you’re angry” “I can see you’re frustrated”

That’s where emotional understanding begins 🤍
