Lots of aspects go into planning and delivering a service, some of it seen, some of it not.

When preparing for a burial, being outside can bring different considerations....

💨 Weights stuck on sheets, in between my script, ensuring that the plastic wallet pages don't flutter about of a breeze picks up

🌿 Soil, sand or petals can be thrown into the grave, but the beautiful scent of Rosemary, the herb of rembrance, can be gathered for this part of the ceremony. As our loved ones memory stays with us after the ceremony, so can the scent of rosemary, as we will always remember them 💜

A really lovely morning spending time with The Martins Funeral Directors - Horsham as they celebrate bringing C&T Radmalls Horsham under the well trusted Martins name.

Food for the soul when you speak to those in the profession, who, like me, want every service to be as unique, perfect and fitting to the person as possible, and that we will do everything we can to make that happen and help the families we support 💜

I love being creative, whether that's with the words I'm writing for a service or with fabric.

The birthday bunting is up for our little man - made of material that are memories of when he's worn outfits and little mementoes capturing the year he's just had.

This is put up every year, growing every year, just like him. Another way to tell his story, a colourful tradition, and something I love spending time creating 💜

My love of purple is well known, and I've always been one for talking to people, making connections and building relationships.

This book is incredibly special to me, as it was given to me by a lovely customer I served, weekly, as I sat on my checkout till at Waitrose. I worked in an evening after college, and this lovely older couple would come to my till, even though there was less of a queue at others. Because of the power of the connection we had made.

When I said I had got into Liverpool University to read History, and would be leaving my evening job, they gave me a present.

💜 knowing I made a difference to their weekly shop, and they made a difference to my part-time job
