💉FLU SEASON💉
We are getting ready for Flu season

Appointments are now available to book, we have clinics weekdays and Saturdays

We will also be giving COVID vaccines to patients who are eligible:
• Are aged 75 or over
• Are aged 18 - 74 years and have a weakened immune system because of a health condition or treatment
• Live in a care home for older Adults

We have had a few phone calls recently about the MY GP app, we are not sure if they are having technical issues.
Unfortunately we do not have any control over any apps that patients use.
If you have a problem with any of the apps you will need to go back to the app company as the admin team will not be able to help unfortunately.

If you need to order a prescription at the surgery then the easiest way is through the NHS app. It not only has your medications on there but you can view your medical records and book appointments.
You can also email your prescription request through to us us at lscicb-csr.tvsprescriptions@nhs.net or call between 1-2pm on 01257 445802.

HPV Catch up Campaign
As per NHS England we are currently recalling patients who have not had their HPV vaccination. The campaign will see all those aged 16 and over who missed the vaccine be contacted by letter, email, text or app to invite them to book a vaccination at their GP practice and catch up before they reach their 25th birthday.
• All females born on or before 01/09/2009 – up to their 25th birthday.
• Males born from 01/09/2006 to 31/08/2009. Please note eligibility for boys was only extended to those entering Year 8 from September 2019.

All patients who have been contacted to collect a new blood glucose machine, are invited to attend the Croston Village Surgery on Friday 8th August where we will have the
SMBG (Self-monitoring of blood glucose) Diabetes Support Specialist Ben Smith, available between 2.00pm and 3.30pm to offer our patients a demo of the Glucofix Tech GK device & offer any help & support you may need. Alison McCaffrey (Practice Nurse) will also be available & on hand that afternoon.
This will be a one-off session, so please come along.

We are looking for new members for our PPG group, we need patients who are interested in the following..
• To represent you the patients, to offer your ideas, views and constructive feedback to the Practice Team on the services and facilities we provide.
• Help the Practice improve the patient experience, building facilities, processes and procedures to work better for you.
• Help in communication new developments to all patients.
• Carry out patient satisfaction surveys and feeding back your responses to the Practice in a constructive manner.

Today Dr Traynor and Nurse Practitioner Kim represented The Village Surgeries and the NHS at a human careers fair at Bishops Rawsthorn High school. Did you know there are over 350 careers in the NHS? Can you name them? No we can’t either !! 😆 Here’s a competition they did with the kids. How many can you get right?!
