Drawing on the Chinese medicine season of spring, we'll move through a rejuvenating yet deeply relaxing Restorative Yoga practice, followed by a nurturing Springtime Yoga Nidra meditation — both woven through with the joyful, renewing spirit of this time of year. 🦋

I genuinely believe this workshop has the power to help people.

Not only will Emily's pulse readings give you valuable insight into your own energy and the Yin Yoga offer a deeply relaxing tonic for your nervous system — but the tools we'll share will give you a deeper understanding of your own health and wellbeing, and what's really going on beneath the surface.

Most importantly, you'll leave empowered with real, simple, free tools you can use at home to make lasting, positive improvements — helping you live as optimally and as fully as possible.

This Sunday (22nd February, 10am–1pm at Plymtree Parish Hall), Emily Fraser and I are hosting something truly special — a unique workshop where Yin Yoga meets Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupressure.

I'll be guiding you through a nurturing Yin Yoga practice designed to open and support your body's meridian pathways, whilst Emily offers individual pulse readings drawing on her expertise in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture. Together, the yoga, acupressure points, and reflective journaling create an integrated toolkit you can continue to draw upon long after Sunday.

This workshop is for you if:

The Snow Moon rises on Sunday 1st February at 16:07, glowing bright against the muted light of late winter.

For generations, people knew February’s full moon as the Snow Moon. It marked the coldest stretch of winter, a time of survival, patience, and quiet strength.
The name carries both starkness and hope: a reminder that even when the world feels still and silent, the earliest signs of new life are gathering beneath the surface.

Just as the Cold Moon marked deep winter, the Snow Moon marks endurance, one final stretch before the earth softens again.
Traditionally, the Snow Moon symbolised patience, resilience, and the slow, quiet preparation for spring.

Endurance - moving steadily through challenging seasons
Clarity - winter stripping things back to what truly matters
Renewal - the subtle beginnings of new energy forming beneath the surface
Trust - believing in cycles even when progress is hidden
In simple terms, the Snow Moon reminds us that not all growth is visible.
Sometimes the most important changes happen quietly, beneath the snow.

Spiritually, the Snow Moon is linked with patience, renewal, deep rest, and clarity.
Winter’s stillness can feel stark, but it also helps us see what matters, and what doesn’t. This full moon encourages us to slow down, conserve our energy, and prepare internally for the new cycle ahead.
Just as the first green shoots form unseen beneath frozen ground, the Snow Moon reminds us that renewal is already beginning, even if we can’t yet see it.

The Snow Moon invites gentle reflection:

Where can you soften your grip?
Where can you let stillness support you?
Where might rest be the medicine you’ve been avoiding?

Just as the land rests beneath its snowy blanket, we too are allowed to pause. This moon is about resilience, yes, but also about gentleness. Knowing you don’t have to push to be moving forward.
