I recently treated a patient who had been struggling with a Mosaic Verruca. This is the clinical term for a large, stubborn cluster of verrucas that grow closely together.

Like many people, she had tried various over-the-counter acid treatments. Unfortunately, because mosaic verrucas cover a larger area, the “one-size-fits-all” shop treatments ended up damaging the healthy, sensitive skin surrounding the cluster without reaching the root of the virus.

👣 Verruca treatment After first session VS Now 👣

In the first photo, the verrucas appears raised, this is actually a sign the treatment is working. Verrutop targets the verruca tissue, causing it to dry, lift, and separate from the healthy skin beneath.

The second photo shows progress after 5 treatment visits. Verrucas are often stubborn, can be painful when walking or standing, and if left untreated, they can spread to other areas of the foot or to other people.

Myself and two qualified Foot Health Practitioners are looking to give back to our local community by offering a free, dedicated footcare day for individuals experiencing homelessness within Torfaen.

For many people, prolonged walking, inadequate footwear, and limited access to healthcare can lead to significant foot pain, skin breakdown, and infection. Access to free professional footcare can greatly improve comfort, mobility, dignity, and overall wellbeing.

We are hoping to connect with local organisations, shelters, outreach teams, or charities who currently support homeless individuals, to collaborate and help us provide this service to those who may benefit most.

This patient was referred by their practice nurse due to significant hard callus and corns on pressure points, something we commonly see in both pre-diabetic and diabetic patients.

When you have diabetes or are at risk of developing it, foot care is essential. High blood sugar can reduce circulation and nerve function in the feet, making it harder to feel injuries or pressure. That means something as simple as a corn or callus can quickly develop into a more serious wound or ulcer if left untreated.

Before and After Corns & Callus 👣✨

This lovely patient came to myself with multiple concerns: long-standing discomfort from arthritis, structural foot changes, psoriasis, and painful calluses layered over corns. The combination of skin sensitivity and biomechanical stress made every step a challenge.

With a tailored approach, I gently reduced the corns and calluses, addressed the pressure points contributing to buildup, and factored in their psoriasis to ensure the skin was treated with extra care.

This patient had their first visit this week for fungal nail treatment and regular nail trim! Fungal nail infections (onychomycosis) occur when dermatophyte fungi invade the nail, causing discoloration, thickening, and brittleness. Treatment can be challenging and requires consistency—regular professional care alongside daily antifungal treatment at home is key.
