Auguste communities The modern and highly renovated 84-bed home will cater for dementia nursing, and residential, care categories for older people.

The home is all en suite and is furnished to an impeccable standard. Auguste Communities Care Centre in Durham is located just outside Darlington, on the airport route and in scenic rural grounds. Run by Prestige Care Group, it can provide nursing care for a person living with dementia or related syndrome and is governed by person-centred principles. It offers 83 rooms, all for people living with dementia or a related condition and require nursing care. All Auguste Communities are purpose-built or adapted facilities, adapted to enhance the quality of life and safety for people with dementia. The Auguste Community features a Tovertafel room and a Snoezelen room and residents can also enjoy an Arjo bathing experience. The grounds are extensive and feature safe walks and potting/gardening areas and sheds and all are secure
The home is all en suite and is furnished to an impeccable standard. Features of the home include:

Lounge areas with large screen TVs and radios
Spacious dining areas, fully equipped to meet individuals’ needs
Multiple enclosed, landscaped and grassed garden, patio and walking areas
Fully equipped bathrooms and wet rooms
A hairdressing salon
Communal area spaces many leading to the gardens directly
All en suite rooms
A Tovertafel ‘magic table’

Today we were lucky enough to have two Tibetan Terriers, Lottie and Margot come and visit us. These two beautiful girls are therapy dogs and the residents absolutely loved them.

Mothering Sunday here at Auguste Communities. First all the ladies recieved a lovely bunch of daffodils from our kitchen assistant sophie . After a beautiful Sunday roast we were then surprised with an outside entertainer who had our residents singing and dancing and clapping their hands . ✋ Another little surprise was in store when our catering manager Caroline made these delicious cakes 🎂 Fair to say we have a good few tired residents tonight 😴
