SECOND COVID LOCKDOWN - WHAT WE KNOW

From this Thursday, we may only leave home for specific reasons - education, work if you cannot work from home, exercise, medical reasons, to escape injury or harm, shop for food and essentials, and provide care for vulnerable people, or as a volunteer.

No mixing of households inside homes, except for childcare and other support. No mixing of households outside, except for exercising or visiting a public place with one other person

“Non-essential” shops, leisure and entertainment venues (including gyms) will all be closed, though click and collect services will continue and essential shops will remain open. Supermarkets can sell “non-essential” items.

Pubs, bars, restaurants must close, except for takeaway and delivery services.

Schools and colleges will remain open.

Children are allowed to move between homes if their parents are separated.

Outdoor exercise and recreation encouraged and is unlimited - only with your household/bubble, on your own or with one other person from a different household (golf is not allowed).

Services in places of worship not allowed, but private prayer permitted. Funerals allowed with close family members only

The Government’s furlough scheme (paying 80% of salaries) will be extended through November until the beginning of December.

Travel within the UK discouraged, except for work. International travel out of the UK banned, except for work.

The mental health issues related to lockdown and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression. The wonderful charity MIND have a 24 hour helpline: 03001233393
Please could any two of my Facebook friends just copy and repost to share the helpline far and wide. Just two. Any two. Say done. 💔

Today's , Local football coach Mikey Weston, is usually found coaching the under eights at Hurworth Albion Football Club. But when he was furloughed, he decided to use his time to cheer up others.

Mikey has been asking for people to nominate others whom he can cheer up by delivering sweet treats to their front doors. He was featured in the Northern Echo delivering to one elderly man and he’s asking for your nominations for others.

So to day I’ve been out collecting items for food packages for older residents, 🌈
