The webinars are for anyone who cares for or works directly with young people with a learning disability and / or who are autistic.

This year, LD CAMHS are inviting everyone (parents/carers, staff members and clinicians) to attend the same course on the same day (rather than running two separate courses).

Home to School Transport
Derbyshire County Council have launched a consultation on proposed changes to home to school transport policies.
They are seeking a range of views on proposed changes to travel policies for eligible school children aged five to 16, Post 16 learners and students with special educational needs and disabilities.

The consultation follows updated legal guidance from the government providing greater clarity on the role councils’ play in helping to transport children to school.

The consultation will run until midnight on Sunday 22 February 2026.

Home to School Transport
Derbyshire County Council have launched a consultation on proposed changes to home to school transport policies.

For details go to the links below.
There is an offering of BSL interpretation at Santa’s Grotto on Sunday 30th November from 2-3pm. To get one of these spaces, parents and carers can email events.promo@chesterfield.gov.uk and they will arrange with you directly.

Santa will also be doing a free BSL interpreted story time session in the Christmas Tipi next to the market hall on 30th November at 3.30pm – 4pm

There will also be a BSL interpreter at our Christmas lights switch on stage show this year (Sunday 23rd November) from 4.30pm to 5.30pm outside Chesterfield Town Hall as well as lots of family friendly entertainment and activity.
