There is an offering of BSL interpretation at Santa’s Grotto on Sunday 30th November from 2-3pm. To get one of these spaces, parents and carers can email events.promo@chesterfield.gov.uk and they will arrange with you directly.

Santa will also be doing a free BSL interpreted story time session in the Christmas Tipi next to the market hall on 30th November at 3.30pm – 4pm

There will also be a BSL interpreter at our Christmas lights switch on stage show this year (Sunday 23rd November) from 4.30pm to 5.30pm outside Chesterfield Town Hall as well as lots of family friendly entertainment and activity.

A programme for young people who are not in Education, Training or Employment.

This is taking place at the Quad in Chesterfield on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday for 6 months then the Unstoppable program has resources and a great plan for removing barriers for these young people in taking their next steps.

This program has started for September and is ready to take new participants ASAP for September or there are alternative start dates in October, November or December. See the poster for what young people would be doing on the program and how to get in touch if you’re interested.

The young person ideally needs to be 18-21 and able to get to the Quad in Chesterfield on Mondays and Tuesdays and some Thursdays for 6 months.

There is a Q&A session on Thursday 11th September 2-3 (longer if needed) on teams. Contact us on asch.unstoppable@derbyshire.gov.uk with questions, request for a call, for a calendar invite to the Q&A session.

Compassionate Voices will be running a ‘This is me’ journaling workshop on Tuesday 12 August at Blast, Carter Lane, Shirebrook. It’s free and includes a pizza lunch.

The workshop is aimed at girls aged 10-15 to explore topics like self-love, overcoming fears, body positivity, online safety and future aspirations using journalling exercises.
