Healing Pathways

I strongly believe that it is never to late to make changes, learn new things or find your passion or role in life. So therefore, to pursue my dream, I decided that I would develop my skills & knowledge further. My dream job I suppose, was always one in which I could continue to support & empower others, but also learn and qualify in an area I was always very passionate about - “ body / mind intersection” & the benefits of complimentary therapies for healing and internal mastery – I am now doing both…

Therapies such as Massage, Yoga, Mindfulness, Reflexology are some of the therapies that individuals are now opting for general well-being and as preventative measures for ill health.

Background & Academic Achievements:

Received my Hons Degree in Combined Studies (Sociology & Psychology) in (2003) & a Doctorate in Psychology in (2008) & later in (2015) I completed a CPD certificate in Clinical Psychology - “Mental Health Throughout the Lifespan”. I am certified with distinctions in both Body Massage / Indian Head Massage & Holistic Facials & also in IET (Integrated Energy Therapy). I am currently continuing CPD in other massage modalities and Reflexology.

Passion & Philosophy…

I believe and accept that many conditions, situations and life events affect the functioning of our body & mind. I also believe that our body mirrors our stress, tension, worries, thoughts, feelings, and emotions and is the storage container of energy for our past and present anxieties - the greater our ability to tune into our body, the easier it can become to heal our imbalance.

Here at Healing Pathways we can offer a service to support the client in this process and in an environment where one will feel nurtured and safe. It is my desire to utilise Massage Therapy work in conjunction with my psychological knowledge & my own personal experiences of self-healing to help others achieve physical & mental balance. Touch therapies are a non-invasive, drug free, humanistic approach based on the bodies ability to heal itself. They are also a great initial boost to getting the body to relax & most importantly is the emotional value that comes with touch.

· The service is neither a diagnostic or counselling service but a service that can offer Complimentary Therapies that allow the body to relax/recuperate & to function optimally thus releasing stress and creating a sense of well-being.

· It offers psych-social and empowerment resources for individuals or small groups that inspire, motivate & appraise potential stressors in more benign ways.
