Have you ever noticed yourself shrinking? Playing small, in order for someone else to feel comfortable?

We sell out on ourselves and therefore buy into someone else’s system! Abandon ourselves and our dreams.

The cost … frustration, emptiness and lack of purpose. Maybe even depression or resentment? We were born to grow and bloom, to flourish snd serve.

Farewell Coco ❤️‍🩹🐾our wee hearts are tender and sore.

We were blessed to be trusted with 2 beagles Coco and Penny 10 years ago. A lady was relocating and needed a new home for her 2 babies, they were sisters from the same litter and only 18 months.

We loved them! They would sniff and howl 🐾🙈

They would dig their way out of the garden in the night and go gallivanting! Arriving back exhausted in the early hours of the morning and we would be pacing, watchful for their safe return.

Despite our increased efforts to keep them in, they escaped every night. Then the inevitable happened, with no road sense, Penny the daring one, got run over.

We were devastated and Coco aged over night at the loss of her sister, Coco never escaped again. But we had her for another 8 years.

She loved the campervan days and would be snoring before we even left the street. She was a massive part of our family life.

My husband her master and they were strong companions.

She missed Penny and was so loving towards the other pets we brought into our ‘square peg’ family. She shared a bed with black cat and protected stripey cat always.

Coco was a protector, I remember walking up the lane with our daughter and she’d bark as we approached our neighbouring farmer. We’d apologise profusely and he reassured us that Coco was protecting us.

Coco lived placidly amongst us … accepting the rollercoaster of our midlife, menopause, teenagers, 8 chickens, 2 cats and a very lively cross Labrador/Retriever puppy🐾

Everyone loved Coco

Thank you for all your kind messages my friends, there’s something about the unconditional love from pets that opens our hearts widely. They are a four legged prayer.

Rest easy Coco in your sacred spot we chose for you. Thank you for the love you gave to our family.
