Reflexology induces relaxation 😌

Unfortunately stress has become part of our everyday life and if we do not manage it properly then our body's defenses start to break down and we become much more susceptible to illness and aches and pains 😢

A huge percentage of our 'ailments' can be attributed to stress 😩...

This is where reflexology comes in 🤗

A reflexology session or sessions is capable of inducing a wonderful state of deep relaxation and tranquility where real healing begins (from the inside out).

It's the alpha state of relaxation that you generally fall into during reflexology and it's in this lovely level of consciousness at which healing can take place.

A lot of people will fall asleep during a reflexology session and awake feeling refreshed and restored with a wonderful sense of wellbeing and harmony 🙏

Reflexology can really help the body relax and find its natural balance.

~ Stress Reduction: By applying pressure to specific reflex points, reflexology promotes the release of endorphins, which can alleviate stress and anxiety, leading to a calmer state of mind and a more relaxed body 🙏

~ Improved Circulation: Stimulating reflex points enhances blood flow, ensuring that oxygen and nutrients are efficiently delivered to tissues, which can help reduce tension and promote overall relaxation 😌

~ Pain Relief: Reflexology can help alleviate pain by targeting areas of discomfort, allowing the body to relax and restore balance, improve energy flow to affected areas and ultimately improving overall wellbeing ✨️

💗 Why I love what I do 💗

With every client that walks through my door, I am reminded that ✨️Reflexology✨️ is more than just a treatment...

Reflexology treats sooooo much more than just the feet. Physical touch is one of our most basic, primal needs and the power of touch during a reflexology treatment is incredible. Think of it as a conversation between hands and feet, between the inside and the outside.

The moments that bring me joy are those days when I welcome a client into my space and they allow themselves to truly relax and let go and watching a face soften after weeks of tension makes me feel fantastic and privileged at the same time!

I'm still on a journey, a learning journey, and with every day, every treatment, I'm realising that each individuals healing journey is never linear...in fact it's made up of little steps, shared trust, and the courage to keep showing up, both for the client and for myself as a therapist!

A reflexology session for me is not just about the treatment, it's a full immersive relaxation experience. You are in a safe space where I spend time listening to you, providing support where I can, and offering lifestyle and wellbeing tips and advice.

My aim is to support your overall wellbeing and allow you time to feel nurtured, calm and relaxed...and to leave with a big smile on your face, feeling floaty and happy 😀🙏😀

I was chatting with a client recently and it occurred me that maybe people don't realise that the hour reflexology treatment they are paying for is actually a FULL HOUR of reflexology...the time they spend in my space is probably more like 1 hour 15/20 minutes!!! (Please note if it's your first treatment with me it'll be 90 minutes which includes a thorough consultation and again 60 mins of reflexology).

When you arrive in my treatment space we chat and get settled and then I get you comfortable on my massage bed.

This is when your hour starts! You are treated to a full hour of relaxation and healing, including breath work, sound healing and of course a full body reflexology treatment.

After your hours treatment I then invite you to enjoy a few minutes of calm while your mind and body continues to heal, rebalance and restore itself.

Aftercare is very important and I'll always offer you a nice glass of water and any other advice I feel is needed to further support your healing and wellbeing.

So please be aware that your treatment with me is not in and out within the hour time slot...it's a whole relaxation experience where you feel nurtured and relaxed from the moment you step in my space, to the moment we share our goodbyes 🙏

Is stress messing with your health and wellbeing?

When we are stressed, everything in the body starts to slow down and we start to feel rubbish 🥴

And as a result...

~ Digestion becomes sluggish

~ Lymphatic drainage gets blocked

~ Energy flow becomes stagnant

If you feel like your stress is getting out of control then maybe it's time to book yourself a reflexology treatment with me to help manage stress and promote relaxation 😌

It’s a truly amazing full body experience that helps you find your natural rhythm again and feel fantastic ✨️❤️✨️

I am already starting to notice and feel the seasonal shift happening! The mornings have a new crispness to them and the evenings are drawing in!!!

The transition from late summer to atumn is a time for self-reflection and personal insight. It is all about creating intentional moments of calm, clarity and connection to self.

Make time for things that encourage stillness and deeper reflection. Allow your body to feel grounded and welcome focus inward 🙏

Recognise the things in your life that help release emotional tension, making space for insight and understanding.

But summer isn't over yet! Enjoy the sunshine and carry on making memories 🥰☀️

The connection between reflexology and
emotions is a fascinating and profound part of holistic healing.

✨️Why do some clients feel emotional during or after a reflexology session?✨️

As I work and stimulate reflexes and energy pathways open, emotions can release as the body fully relaxes.

Crying, laughing, or other emotional expressions are all very normal as the body processes and releases stored tension.

An interesting read 👇👇👇👇

Our feet share a special connection with our body, they connect us with the ground, and we should pay special attention to how our feet are behaving if we want to perform at our best and stay injury-free.

The arches of your feet are one of the most jam-packed and complex anatomical structures in your body and help with many things:

• They allow for fine-tuned movements of the foot and toes in order to achieve stability and balance.

• They act like a ‘core’ to help support the arch and hold it in place when weight-bearing. This helps maintain balance and control and prevents the foot from unwanted collapse.

• They help the foot become stiff and rigid to create propulsion when walking, running, jumping, etc. They also help the foot become mobile/adaptable when needed.

Now with a pronated foot (collapsing medially), your hip (ipsilaterally) side moves down and anteriorly.

With a supinated foot ⤴️(moving externally), your weight shifts laterally, and you will feel pressure on the outside of your feet.

This leads to mechnical imbalances that affect everything above your ankle joint.

Improving foot proprioception is the first step to addressing a foot imbalance.

Therapeutic insoles are a great way to address poor foot posture by hacking your nervous system.

This is how they work: 1️⃣ mechanoreceptor (skin)> 2️⃣ thalamus > 3️⃣ sensory cortex > 4️⃣ motor cortex (movement)

Since the motor cortex is what ultimately controls your muscles, working with a product that feeds it 24/7 results in FAST and permanent changes in poor foot and body posture.
