Most recurring acne follows a pattern.
It might not be obvious at first, but the skin is rarely acting without reason.

Breakouts often appear in the same areas.
They return during similar times of stress or hormonal change.
They calm briefly… then reappear when something underneath hasn’t been addressed.

Many adult acne cycles are linked to things happening quietly in the background.
Barrier disruption.
Hormonal shifts.
Inconsistent routines that never allow the skin to stabilise.
Treating flare-ups as isolated events instead of understanding the cause.

That’s why the same breakout can keep returning, even when treatments seem to help for a while.

Temporary calm isn’t the same as correction.

When the root pattern is understood, the skin becomes far more predictable.
Reactions reduce.
Progress holds.

This is why I assess before I treat 🤎

Recurring acne is incredibly common.
And it’s rarely caused by just one thing.

Most adult breakouts are layered.
Hormones, stress patterns, barrier health, product tolerance and lifestyle shifts often interact quietly in the background.

That’s why the same spot can improve for a while… then suddenly return.

In clinic, I’m not just looking at the breakout itself.
I’m looking at the full picture:

– When the pattern appears and how it moves
– How much your skin can realistically tolerate
– What products have already been used
– How stress and lifestyle might be affecting the skin
– Whether hormonal triggers could be involved

Because when those pieces are understood, the skin stops feeling so unpredictable.

The Skin Consultation & Facial Treatment (£99) is where that process begins.
60 minutes to assess the skin properly.
A bespoke treatment based on how it’s behaving that day.
And a written acne roadmap so you know what happens next.

There’s no pressure to commit to anything beyond understanding your skin.

You don’t need to keep firefighting your skin 🤎

You genuinely thought acne ended at 18..

That it was something you’d “grow out of.”

So when it keeps appearing along your jaw or chin, it feels unfair.

Embarrassing.

Like you should have figured this out by now.

You cover it.
You try to dry it out.
You promise yourself you’ll fix it properly this time.

And then… it comes back.

Adult acne is incredibly common.
It isn’t a hygiene issue.
It isn’t because you’re doing something wrong..
It’s usually hormonal, stress-related, or linked to a weakened barrier.

This is more common than you think.

You’re not “too old” for acne.
You just need the right approach.

If you want clarity on what’s actually driving yours, stat with a consultation 🤎

Adult acne is rarely about oil alone.

By the time acne appears in your 30s, 40s or beyond, the drivers are usually more complex.
Hormonal shifts.
Stress patterns.
Barrier disruption.
Inflammation sitting quietly beneath the surface.

That’s why it often shows up around the chin and jawline.
Why it flares when life feels heavier.
Why it improves briefly, then returns.

The mistake most people make is treating it like teenage acne.
Stripping the skin.
Exfoliating more.
Trying to dry it out.

But adult acne isn’t asking to be attacked.
It’s asking to be understood.

When the barrier weakens, inflammation increases.
When inflammation increases, breakouts follow.
And the cycle repeats.

This is why I assess before treating.
Because triggers matter more than trends.

Correction starts with understanding your triggers 🤎

If you’re unsure what’s actually driving your acne, start with a consultation.

I won’t throw strong acids at it immediately.

I won’t strip your barrier in the name of “clearing it.”

I won’t blame your skincare habits.

And I won’t promise overnight results.

Adult acne doesn’t respond well to panic treatment.

It responds to calm strategy.

What I will do:

– Assess your skin properly.
– Look at patterns and triggers.
– Check barrier strength and tolerance.
– Support the skin before correcting it.
– Build a realistic roadmap you can follow.

The Skin Consultation & Facial Treatment (£99) is where that starts.

60 minutes focused entirely on understanding your skin.
A bespoke treatment tailored to how it’s behaving that day.
A full product audit.
A written acne roadmap you can take home.

No pressure to commit to anything beyond clarity.

Adult acne needs calm correction, not panic treatment 🤎

There’s a quiet fear a lot of people don’t say out loud.

“I should know this by now.”
“I’ve wasted so much money.”
“I should’ve sorted this earlier.”

So instead of booking, you wait.
Because explaining your skincare shelf feels embarrassing.
Because you think you’ll be told off.
Because you don’t want to hear, “Why did you use that?”

Let me say this clearly.

I’m not here to judge your skincare.
I’m here to understand it.

There’s no embarrassment.
No shame.
No lecture.

Most of my clients start by saying, “I don’t really know what I’m doing.”
That’s normal.

Skin care is noisy. Advice overlaps. Trends move fast.
Confusion isn’t a failure, it’s a starting point.

If you want clarity without judgement, this is your first step 🤎

And when the problem is misidentified, even good treatments fail.

Redness gets treated like acne.
Breakouts get blamed on oil.
Pigmentation gets labelled “sun damage.”
Tightness gets called dryness.

So stronger products are added.
More actives are layered.
And when results stall, the answer becomes “try something else.”

But skin doesn’t respond to intensity.
It responds to accuracy.

Many adult breakouts are barrier-related, not oil-driven.
Persistent redness is often inflammation, not congestion.
Pigmentation can be hormonal or reactive, not just UV.
And that stretched, uncomfortable feeling is frequently barrier damage, not a lack of exfoliation.

When the diagnosis is off, progress feels temporary.
When the right issue is identified, skin starts behaving differently.

This is why assessment always comes first.
Before we correct, we diagnose.

If you’re unsure what you’re actually treating, start here 🤎

And that’s completely fine.

Some come for clarity only.
Some follow the roadmap step by step.
Some dip in and out when their skin needs support.
Some return months later when they’re ready to continue.

There’s no right way to do this.
There’s no pressure to commit to anything beyond understanding your skin.

The Skin Consultation & Facial Treatment (£99) is simply the starting point.
A diagnostic foundation.
A bespoke facial based on how your skin is behaving that day.
A written roadmap so you know exactly what’s happening next.

What you do after that is entirely up to you.

Skin journeys don’t need urgency.
They need clarity.

You’re allowed to move at your own pace 🤎

20/02/2026

When skin improves… then flares again… it rarely means it’s “bad” or stubborn.

It usually means something foundational is being missed.

Most relapses come from:

• No proper assessment before starting treatments
• A barrier that wasn’t ready for stronger actives
• Inconsistent routines that never stabilise
• Treating visible symptoms instead of underlying causes

When these patterns repeat, progress feels temporary.
You see improvement, then it slips away.
Not because nothing works, but because the skin wasn’t fully understood first.

This is why I always assess before recommending anything.
Tolerance matters.
Barrier health matters.
Context matters.

Correction starts with understanding 🤎

Somewhere along the way, you started feeling dramatic for caring this much.

For noticing changes.
For being frustrated when things don’t improve.
For wanting it to finally make sense.

But wanting clarity isn’t high-maintenance.
It’s human.

You’re not asking for perfection.
You’re tired of guessing.
Tired of spending money on things that almost work.
Tired of temporary glow that disappears a week later.

You don’t want more products.
You want direction.
A plan.
Someone to say, “This is what your skin needs, and this is why.”

That’s not dramatic.
That’s reasonable.

Skin changes when there’s structure behind it.
When decisions are made calmly, not reactively.
When effort has context.

Structure changes skin. Not random effort 🤎

I won’t rush you.
I won’t recommend something your skin can’t tolerate.
I won’t push you into a package.
I won’t overwhelm you with ten new steps.

Your first appointment isn’t about pressure.
It’s about clarity.

What I will do:

– Assess your skin properly.
– Treat it gently, based on how it’s behaving that day.
– Audit what you’re currently using.
– Build a realistic, written roadmap you can actually follow.
– Let you decide what happens next.

The Skin Consultation & Facial Treatment (£99) gives you 60 minutes focused entirely on understanding your skin.

A bespoke facial.
A product audit.
A written treatment plan.
Samples to support it at home.

Some people continue.
Some people pause there.
Both are completely fine.

If you’re ready for clarity before commitment, this is where we start 🤎
