Most recurring acne follows a pattern.
It might not be obvious at first, but the skin is rarely acting without reason.
Breakouts often appear in the same areas.
They return during similar times of stress or hormonal change.
They calm briefly… then reappear when something underneath hasn’t been addressed.
Many adult acne cycles are linked to things happening quietly in the background.
Barrier disruption.
Hormonal shifts.
Inconsistent routines that never allow the skin to stabilise.
Treating flare-ups as isolated events instead of understanding the cause.
That’s why the same breakout can keep returning, even when treatments seem to help for a while.
Temporary calm isn’t the same as correction.
When the root pattern is understood, the skin becomes far more predictable.
Reactions reduce.
Progress holds.
This is why I assess before I treat 🤎
