World Lymphoedema Day — Standing With Everyone Affected
Today, on World Lymphoedema Day, we recognise the millions of people living with a condition that is too often misunderstood, under‑diagnosed, or overlooked. Lymphoedema is not simply swelling — it is a lifelong condition that affects mobility, comfort, confidence, and daily life. And yet, every day, people face it with remarkable strength.
We also acknowledge the clinicians, therapists, nurses, and support teams who dedicate their careers to improving outcomes. Their expertise, compassion, and persistence drive real change for patients and families.
Progress in lymphoedema care continues to grow — through better education, earlier diagnosis, improved compression technology, and a stronger global community advocating for visibility and access. There is still work to do, but there is also genuine hope.
Today is a reminder that no one should face lymphoedema alone. Awareness leads to understanding, understanding leads to action, and action leads to better lives.
Together, we can push for earlier recognition, better support, and a future where lymphoedema is met with knowledge, not stigma
