Next up's Leanne! 👋

Leanne's a proud member of our Service User Council and has grown in confidence over the years, allowing her to try new things and build her independence 🤩

With support from the team at Quarryfields, she also attends DICE Enterprise - a non-profit organisation that runs activities and events for disabled people - twice a week.

It was there her journey led her to finding her perfect match, her fiancé, Jacob. 🥰

From hospital appointments to finding love, the Nurses at Quarryfields have been with her every step of the way!

Today at Quarryfields we had an animal zoo visit, our residents had lots of fun with a variety of reptiles and animals, we saw a Python, Skunk, Barn Owl, Lesser Tenrec, Leopard Gecko, African Giant Train Millipede and a Tortoise, we had not only residents conquering their fears but also staff conquered their fears by holding Laura the Butter Ball Python, what a fun day, we’ve learnt lots of interesting things about the animals and reptiles that visited 🐍🐢🦎🦨🦉🐛🦔

Cassandra made her first meal independently with low level of support from her 1:1 staff and we are so proud of her accomplishment. 🥘🍲🍽️

Here at Quarryfields we celebrated an early easter by throwing a party. 🎉🎊 We had games and music and we celebrated together with everyone including the residents loved ones. 😊❤️ We also had a competition for best bonnet which was judged by managers. 🏆🏅The residents enjoyed showing off their bonnets that they made in arts and crafts group at Platform.
It's been a great day and we all would like to wish everyone Happy Easter 🐰 🥚

Leanne mentioned to our Activities team that she would like to go horse riding again one day, so 6 weeks ago we started out by grooming the horses and today Leanne made a big achievement by getting on a horse after not riding for years, well done Leanne 🐎🐴
