Today is D day 😬 the day where nerves meet excitement in equal measures (for the moment).
With an extremely slow disembarkment, taking hours longer then normal the team are finally on our way to Rotterdam. Fingers crossed my first race isn’t also my warm up 🫣
Thank you to everyone for your words of encouragement over this past couple of weeks. I’ll be back to work on Tuesday with 🤞 some great tales to tell and hopefully a bit of bling to show 😉
So far we have been sat in paediatrics A&E for 1.5hrs with zero idea of how much longer it will be before we begin the process of assessment, x-Rays, follow ups 🤔
Now this is not a dig at the NHS, far from it, it’s more a realisation of maybe we should have acted sooner. His injury is now classed as an “old” injury so we are way down the list 😞
Every day I preach to my clients not to let an injury linger. Your body and brain does an amazing job of telling you when something isn’t quite right.
Yes sometimes we can be guilty of dramatising an injury but my advice is seek some form of medical attention whether that’s a doctor, physio, chiropractor or a soft tissue specialist.
Whilst we continue to wait patiently I will remind myself we are having some lovely mother/son quality time together 🤣
My diary is always open (although not sure for how long today 🫣) so if you need to sort that ni**le out don’t leave it too much longer. Act soon before you make a minor issue become a big mistake!

Having previously qualified in Sports Rehabilitation from Salford University, I worked for 7 years with skiers in Switzerland offering sports and deep tissue massage, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.
I have learned over the years that people often associate massages with either a treatment for elite athletes or a spa luxury. But what about all the people in the middle? Massage is a whole lot more than that. It is a complex tool which, if used correctly, can just about tackle any ailment or injury.
Massage has many beneficial effects including:
1) Reduced stress, anxiety and depression
2) Pain and stiffness relief
3) Increased circulation
4) Immune system function
5) Skin benefits
So whether you are an athlete and have some specific soft tissue restrictions in a particular area, preparing for a big sporting event, have exams, suffer from headaches or are generally just tired and in need of some relaxation, I can adapt my techniques accordingly.
Remember pain and discomfort is not normal, constant fatigue and tiredness shouldn’t be tolerated and yes every so often you can just treat yourself!
I have recently added another string to my bow and now offer Reflexology. This is a non-invasive alternative therapy. Through pressure points on the feet, congestion within the internal organs can be addressed. Reflexology can be used to treat a host of health issues, from back pain and arthritis to migraines and menstruation. It can strengthen the immune system, prevent further illness and breathe life back into the body, making you feel balanced, positive and full of energy.
My hours and location are flexible so please get in touch, I would like to help.
