We’re pleased to share a recently completed project for Exceed Learning Partnership at Hall Cross Academy/comprehensive/Grammar School, Doncaster, delivered in partnership with architect, Building Link Design

The new two-storey extension provides six additional classrooms and includes:

- Extensive foundation works with reinforced strip and pad footings
- Structural steel frame installation
- Beam and block ground floor system
- Composite metal decking at first floor and roof level

The surrounding courtyard has also been enhanced with landscaped features including new turf, raised timber sleeper planters, a central gravel area, and integrated bench seating, all to make the environment more inviting for the pupils using them.

All works were managed to ensure minimal disruption to the school, with key construction activities carefully scheduled outside of term time.

A brilliant project which we are incredibly proud of - a big thank you to everyone involved.

Project Complete - Residential Renovation - Doncaster

Today we’re looking back at the full renovation and extension of a residential property in Doncaster, which we delivered in collaboration with Building Link Design.

The project involved extending both sides and the rear of the original building to significantly increase its size, along with a full transformation of the surrounding grounds.

A new driveway was added to the front, landscaped gardens at the back, and a large fishpond to complete the outdoor space.

Every part of the build was tailored to the client’s exact specifications - delivered with minimal compromise over an 18-month programme.

We’re also proud to have won an LABC Building Excellence Award for this project, a testament to the hard work and commitment by everyone involved.

Project Spotlight: Hill House Sports Pavilion

This new, state-of-the-art sports changing room and pavilion for Hill House School in Doncaster was designed to enhance the school’s sporting facilities.

Working in collaboration with Building Link Design we delivered this modern pavilion and large onsite parking to a strict deadline whilst allowing the existing facilities to still be used.

From bespoke single homes to multi-unit apartment blocks, our residential projects cover the full scope of turnkey development.

We have constructed single dwellings ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 square feet, delivering spacious and high-spec living environments, as well as sites with 2-4 dwellings, making efficient use of land while offering a mix of housing options.

For higher-density projects, we built apartment blocks with 12–24 units over 3-4 storeys, built to meet modern residential demands.

Every refurbishment project carries with it a responsibility: to ensure that safety is at the foundation of design and construction.

At Unipart’s Trax Park site, a central element of the project is the upgrade of fire safety systems and compliance measures. Our work goes beyond the refurbishment of spaces, focusing on protecting those who will use them every day. This includes:

- Strengthening fire compartmentation throughout the building.
- Installing new emergency lighting systems to support safe evacuation.
- Upgrading fire alarms in line with the latest standards.

By embedding these measures, we are ensuring that the renewed facilities not only serve their purpose effectively but provide peace of mind for staff and visitors.

Fire safety is crucial, and it’s something we’re proud to see in place.

We’re looking back at this completed project in Leeds for Spinks Building Supplies Ltd, which included building a new warehouse for their builder’s merchant business.

This was a full design-and-build package, so our role covered both the planning and the construction. Having everything handled under one roof gave the client a single team to work with from the very start.

One of the early challenges was the ground - before our team could begin works on the construction, we carried out remediation works and used compaction techniques to create a stable base. With that complete, the rest of the build could move ahead without delays.

All of the stages were developed in close conversation with the client and their team, which meant the programme stayed on track and the specification was met.

The finished facility gives AE Spink a solid, practical space to support their business in the city centre.

The first impression of every commercial site is key.

At Unipart’s Trax Park in Doncaster, part of the refurbishment focuses on transforming the external environment and design to create a safer and more efficient experience for everyone.

The external works, designed in partnership with Jefferson Sheard Architects, will support daily operations and visitor access.

Key updates include:

- Clear new line marking and wayfinding to guide safe movement for pedestrians and vehicles.
- A revised layout that improves circulation across the site.
- Additional parking capacity, including provision for larger delivery vehicles alongside staff and visitor parking.

We’re proud to see the ongoing development of this project - a big thanks to all involved.

One of our more recent projects in Doncaster has now been handed over to Exceed Learning Partnership at Hall Cross Academy, delivered alongside Building Link Design architects.

The development included the construction of a modern two-storey extension to provide six brand new classrooms. Key works included:

- Reinforced strip and pad footings
- Structural steel frame installation
- Beam and block ground floor system
- Composite metal decking at first floor and roof level

The project was delivered on a live school site, with crane lifts and concrete pumping scheduled outside term times to avoid disruption to learning.
