It was Learning Disability Partnership Board today and ChAD - Choice for All Doncaster shone!

Graham Keeton and Raymond were 🤩!

Everyone commented on how well they had done!

We will update you on what we talked about in our weekly update, but this just needed sharing now!

Our achievements at ChAD grow every week!

This week we have:

Finished the planning picture that Donna and Janet have done! It’s amazing - Watch out for our next project that we are planning!

Raymond has completed his application to become a Learning Disability England Rep… We wish him all the luck in the 🌍!

We had the monthly Chad meeting and decided on the things we will be feeding back to Partnership Board next week!

We also put everything in the kitchen in the games/second room that will soon be open! It’s great!

Finally we gave the office a good clean before we left!

We aren’t open now until Tuesday as it’s Bank Holiday on Monday!

It’s been another lovely week at ChAD this week!

Donna and Janet have been with us again and are so close to finishing our beautiful artwork that will help us plan!

The office is finally cleared and ready for our new start!

The games room is taking shape thanks to Doncaster Mencap!

We have finished the easy read version of how to claim Universal Credit in Doncaster.

Raymond has also been working on his expression of interest to become a Learning Disability England rep. We wish him all the luck in the world.

Our agenda is all prepared for next weeks full ChAD meeting.

…and finally lots of people have been to see us and get to know who we are which is fantastic!

It’s only April’s big ChAD meeting on Tuesday from 10-12!

The meeting will always be the last Tuesday of every month from 10-12 now we have a permanent home at Mencap for it - Thank you Doncaster Mencap!

The agenda looks a little different too as you can see below as the committee are looking at how to make the best agendas for everyone!

We have also worked hard on an easy read version of how to claim Universal Credit in Doncaster.

What a lovely week team ChAD has had…

Donna and Janet have been with us finishing the mural that Raymond designed…

We are going to stick sticky notes on the trees to represent our past present and future…

We had a visit from Megan and a few others from the PFG and Ben also spent a day with us…

We also had our committee meeting and set the agenda for the next big Chad meeting…

These will always now be on the last Tuesday of the month as we have a permanent gathering place and the chair lift…

We have done some planning for our very own VE Day Party!

Now ChAD is closed until Tuesday as I think we all need a rest!

…and thank you as ever to Margaret who has been making lunch and cuppas for us!

What an amazing couple of weeks we have had…

Firstly it’s another thanks for the support from Mencap… The games room is well on its way and we joined them on their bowling trip which was a great success…

Thank you to Tracy too who came and took apart the arts cabinet and Blue and Connor who took it to the tip…

Raymond has a great new job description which we will put on here when they are all done and he’s taken on the role of window decorator…

Donna and Janet have been getting on with our beautiful picture of a tree which will have a hidden purpose…

It was lovely 🥰 for Glynis to drop in too!

Our drop ins are going well on Mondays and Tuesdays from 10-2.30… They are becoming a real comfy place for people to tell us how they feel…

We also had our full meeting and 13 people attended…

…and thanks last but not least to Karens mum whose become such a lovely part of the group making sure we have brews and are fed…
