• Basic Fire Safety : 3 hour course. Cost: £280.00
Course contents:
What is a fire. Accid
ental causes of fire (electrics, flammable liquids, hot works, poor housekeeping.) Classes of fire,. Different types of extinguishers. Practical use of extinguishers on real fire (Demonstration by myself followed by supervised delegate active use of different types of extinguisher on live fire all using a purpose built safe fire rig/ trailer)
• Fire Warden: 4 hour course. Cost: £380.00 NB: This Course contents carry on from the Basic Fire safety course detailed above but includes:
Arson. Arson reduction,. Induction training. Checking buildings. Evacuations. Roll calls. Liaising with the Fire Service. Fire warden sweeps. Effects of smoke. Both courses are approved by ‘The Institute of Fire Engineers,’ and are certified. I bring all my own equipment . All that is required is a spacious room for me and the delegates to deliver my training and an outside(externally) an area the size of 3 car parking spaces (this could be the staff car park) for the fire rig to enable me and the delegates to carry out practical use of the extinguishers. (I provide the extinguishers.) Other courses I deliver are:
• All First Aid Courses: These are priced per person
• Manual Handling: 2.5 hrs.. Up to 12 delegates. Cost of course- £200.00
• Evacuation Chair: Up to 12 delegates. Cost of course- £200.00
• Working with Steps and Ladders: Up to 12 delegates. Cost of course- £200.00
I also install and service Fire Extinguishers which include the innovative Water Mist fire extinguisher. A new multipurpose extinguisher that can be used for
• Class A Fires: Wood, paper and fabrics.
• Class B Fires: Flammable liquids.
• Class F: Deep fat fryers and electrics. If you have a combination of a Water/Foam & Co2 at a fire point, you would only need 1- Water Mist extinguisher. A cheaper alternative for any workplace as it will result in -
• Fewer extinguishers to buy.
• Less maintenance charges.
• Easier to use and safer for staff; as one extinguisher does all fires. No more, "which extinguisher on what fire."
• Minimal collateral damage when used, as the fire fighting agent is Water Mist. Much less ‘clean up.’
